Stan Van Gundy

So Chris Broussard says that SVG would be the Rockets choice as next head coach should McHale resign and that Howard really loves SVG eventhough he talked bad about him in Orlando. Would you guys object to McHale being fired if it meant getting Howard to sign with us if we hired SVG?

lol cmon morey just leave it. why would howard leave la now?
i dunno much about him other than he coaches a good offense, loves his team shooting 3s, and runs small ball lineups as much as mchale (maybe worse?)

if we're gonna keep 2 of our young pfs then we should keep mchale so he can work with them. he's been here for 2 years, rather keep him for another than get svg

BUT IF JVG WANTS TO COME BACK HELLS YEAH GET HIM AND THOSE BIG ASS EYE BAGS OVER HERE. tell him to get some f**kin sleep first

I like Stan Van Gundy. I like his brother too. I love his coaching.

That being said, if Houston wins 2 games in the first round and we still let Mchale go, then I think it's a move that would be bad for business.

Despite people say that there is no loyalty in business, there has to be some in order for employees to take some ownership of the product. There is absolutely no reason to bring forth that kind of cynicism to a young team.

You gotta give this to Mchale though. He might not be the best in game tactician, but he doesn't panic, he's a players coach, and his players fight for him. He's also pretty good at player development.

SVG might be in the top 10 as far as X and Os, but Shaq's opinion of him is low. SVG panics. At the end of the day, match ups are important, plays are important, but good players matter the most. And Mchale really has gotten the most out of this bunch.

McHale isn't going anywhere, unless he doesn't want to be here anymore.
When he was hired he said he would only coach for 2-3 years. Morey then said Fitch would be his replacement.

Chris Broussard is a clown I don't know if I would listen to him. idk but it seemed to me like SVG really hated Dwight, JVG isnt too fond of him either.

SVG also says Lin is the most overrated player in the NBA.

SVG is a good coach, but McHale is a much better fit, he is funny, easy going, a great leader, and he got dat old man swag(maybe i'm confusing the limp with swag?).
McHale is what a team like this needs.... plus everybody loves McHale.

My question.....why would Morey hire Mchale if he said he only wanted to coach for 2-3 years???? what will that accomplish?
