Westbrook to undergo knee surgery - out all postseason

Post#1 » by IMAN5 » Fri Apr 26, 2013 4:57 pm

Damn that's a hueg blow. I think maybe he'll tough it out and try to come back for the 3rd round, but it doesn't look good for you guys.

Reggie Jackson is nice though. and Durant wil get all the touches he wants.

Too early to really comment on this...Im devastated and really surprised after he played through it in the 2nd half of that game. Tough guy thats for sure.

If only OKC had another star studded guard under contract to carry the load while Westbrook is out. Looks like they'll be leaning on their "flexibility".

Wow. I can't believe it. That's insane. Feel terrible. Wish you guys the best of luck. Loosing cause of injuries is the worst thing ever.

Maybe KD takes his game to a whole nother level, surround him with shooters and watch him go to work.

So screwed. Without Westbrook are best hope is just to reach the WCF. That'd be quite the accomplishment if KD can carrying this team there.

The best thing that could come from this would be Durant developing more of that killer mentality. The best scorer in the league should not be second on his team in shot attempts and usage percentage.

I think Russ gets the blame for that sometimes but I think it's on Durant to take it, not Westbrook to give it to him. I love seeing stars play unselfishly but I'd like to see KD be a little more aggressive.

On point though, this is awful news. I think the condensed season last year is continuing to have an effect on players, particularly guys who played in the Olympics. Kobe, Dwight, D. Rose, Westbrook - These were guys that had proven to be very durable before the rushed season. Maybe I'm mistaken but there seems to be a disproportionate amount of injuries since the rushed season began.

I'm sorry OKC fans. I am a Bulls fan and can understand the pain of losing your star player early in the playoffs after such a great season of promise. I hope Westbrook has a complete recovery and you guys can still challenge this year.

This season man...no rose, no rondo, no Kobe and now no Westbrook. This season needs a giant asterisks by it.

Wow just wow, 2 huge injuries to my 2 favorite teams Lakers and Thunder. Call me crazy, but I feel this will give Durant a chance to elevate and evolve his game, become more of a playmaker. This is Durant's time to shine

edit: on another Note MWP was injured from a torn meniscus I believe and returned 13 days later.

The worst thing that could happen to the thunder (besides Durant going down) and the best thing that could happen to Durant.

Sucks about Westbrook guys, good luck in the west
