I love Dave Robinson for telling it like it is (and for crapping on Hoge) and I am happy with this pick.

Can't really complain about this at #61.

Robinson rocked that intro and I loved all the old guys piling on that round, I was mostly listening on nfl radio while driving but made it home in time to see our pick.

Not a huge fan of this pick. The things that concern me:

1. He's already banged up.
2. From what I have seen he is a very, very violent runner... which could mean a short career.

Overall though if he can stay healthy he seems like when healthy he will be a guy who can move the chains. I also like that they highlighted he is good in blitz pick-up and has good hands when catching the ball.

Stay healthy and produce, brah.

I like the pick but you have to be smart with him. SPlit carries with Harris, Starks, and him.

i would have preferred JWilliams & waited on RB but I am neutral - time will tell

smells like when Collins was selected TT couldn't find a decent trade down partner so accpted 6th from 9ers and probably tried to trade down again to no avail. We miss Schneider.

I like this guy BECAUSE he is a violent runner. We need to become a more physical team. That includes our offense. This guy made a lot of sense, especially value-wise.

Big fan of the pick.

I am so psyched about this. Lacy is the clear best back in the draft imo. Our offense just became officially ridiculous.

One of my fav TT picks.

I want Lattimore as well. I want to make sure Rodgers has a good Rb by his side for the rest of his Packers career.

What's the consensus on why he dropped so far? Are the injury issues anything to worry about?

I will say about this pick:

1. Great value.
2. While I think his career will probably be short... if he can stay healthy the years that he is healthy, he should be a pretty damn good player.

I haven't read much into the draft, but i'm curious what the red flags are from a health stand point

via espn
"In 2011, suffered a toe injury vs. Florida. Did not play following week (Vanderbilt) and was limited to five carries when he returned one week later (Mississippi). Had turf toe surgery following the 2011 season and missed all 15 spring practices in 2012. Started all 14 games in 2012 but suffered an ankle sprain during preseason practice and 'tweaked' it versus LSU"

so turf toe and a sprained ankle?? Is their something else i'm missing? If not, theirs nothing wrong with the pick

I squandered an asset? Then Hammond taught me well.

conditioning, bad hammy (check on the hammy, thats just from memory).

he won't be getting 30 carries a game for us though, so chance of injury is less IMO.

Return to Green Bay Packers
