Yup. Will be a a lot of crunching numbers for two years, but then we'll have great flexibility again. Ted is smarter with money than my filthy rich, frugal grandmother.

What a ridiculously good contract. Aaron Rodgers and Clay Packers for life with wiggle room at the end of the contracts. Really nice job by Ted.

Albert Breer ‏@AlbertBreer 4m
The two years left on Rodgers' old deal helped he and GB manage the numbers. His cap figure doesn't exceed $21M in any year of the deal.

Feels really nice to have the franchise locked up in Rodgers and Clay. Feels even better that they were able to do it in moderately cap friendly terms.

EDIT: And keeps my username relevant for the next 7 years :D

Yeah, those two contracts are structured about as well as humanly possible for us. Great job by TT and Russ Ball.

Also, does this mean he'll still be making like $11 over the next two seasons or so?

We'll find out the exact details, but i'd assume his cap number won't jump up a ton next year because i believe after next season the cap is supposed to go up quite a bit.

Great deal. Brees got 5/100M when he was 33. This should work out well for both parties. When the deal expires Rodgers should be able to get a similar contract to what Brady and Manning have now.

22m a year. 2m a year more than Flaco. What a great day for the Packers.

Yeah, Ravens had to pay so much, cap-wise too, because Flacco was a free agent.
