Big fan of the pick.

I agree. Fights for every yard he gets and will run over linebackers like nothing sometimes.

They are doing a conference call with Eddie Lacy on the Packers.com site, but you can't hear a word Eddie is saying.

OK with the trade down, OK with the pick. But it will be interesting to compare the careers of Lacy(and our extra 6th) vs Ball since we could have had Ball by staying put.

Also interesting to compare the careers of Lacy and Michael, who went next to Seattle.

I'm not quite as excited as you, but certainly like the pick at 61 and don't get how anyone can hate it.

To me, the Lacy/Harris combo is the best duo of backs the team has had since Bennett/Levens.

A side benefit should be no more Kuhn on 3rd and short.

Seems like good value, having a big physical back is def the direction I want to go. No more guys that run backwards.

Would have been an even better pick if the Vikes took Teo last night.

Honestly I cant understand why anyone would be opposed to this pick. Good fit in the scheme, good fit with other backs, good pass catcher, good in blitz pick-up, and a crazy worker. If you havent seen his E:60 I suggest you educate yourselves.

I saw that piece on Lacy, seems like a fabulous kid/young man. Given how much Ted values character, i wouldn't doubt that was at least some factor.

Just got back from a run and am stun at this pick. Now I'm going to go back and read everyone's reactions. Hopefully this guy is legit otherwise I would have preferred some more front 7 (O or D) help.

It was a great piece and really turned me on to Lacy.

I'm glad we took him over Ball. I also wonder how much Peterson's domination against us had anything to do with this. Maybe TT wants a big time run game. I still like DuJuan Harris though and I think he could be a good complement to Lacy. We were probably more serious about Steven Jackson than we originally thought too.

Eddie Lacy fell for a bunch of small reasons.

There are questions about his speed which in my opinion are legitimate. That we haven't seen him officially run is a serious issue. Both because he's banged up and we haven't put an actual time to him. There's some off the field red with his friends from back home. I know E:60 went to bat for him and that he interviewed well enough, but it's still a concern. He's also just a tad weird apparently.

Yeah apparently he is super quiet. Like awkwardly quiet.
