i blame it on perkins
he told rockets fans "if you don't like that play do something about it"
there you go
someone must wish perkins not going to win championship
and the good fairy know okc still can win without perkins so they took westbrook out

what play was his tweet in reference to?

I just tore my meniscus last month. It didn't hurt *too* bad at first, but as I kept playing on it, it swelled more and more, until I finally went and got it checked out. Before starting the medicinal treatment (cause I don't care to pay for a confirmational elective MRI and surgery just yet), it was popping every time I turned even slightly and I was having to wear a knee brace just to sit around at the office.

For a while though, I was still playing ball 2-3 times a week at mostly-normal level.

I'm sure it was in reference to the play where Perkins was holding Chandler's hand to prevent him from defending Sefolosha's 3 at the end of the game.

MKL wrote:Perkins probably had a hand in Lin getting injured as well.

nah, Lin collided with Sefolosha's shoulder at full speed chasing down a loose ball. Getting the point of a shoulder at a combined closing speed of 25mph into your chest is pretty nasty.

TMACFORMVP wrote:Saying this, I still don't think Beverley's play was dirty. It was unnecessary, but many PG's including even Westbrook go for a steal before/right when the timeout was called.

Yeah, it wasn't technically dirty. But I can see how OKC players and fans would view it that way, because the whistle blew before Beverley got to the ball. (He could have pulled up).

Well, as Perkins said, "I'm sorry to piss people off. I'm trying to win a ring sooo anything goes while you the heat of the battle." I know that Beverley isn't going to be scared going into Game 3. Maybe he can get Perkins ejected or suspended by drawing some retaliation.

I had an Arthroscopy and Right Meniscus repair. I am no where near the Athlete that Westbrook is, but I was off court for 3 months. Basketball being his full time job, I can see him back in 1 month minimum.

sucks no one wants to see a injury...

but it was a fair play.... albeit a sneaky one...

but then we have seen players fake a time out and go for a shot in the past...

some people are complaining the contact was after the whistle but you can see the whistle go no more than half a second before the contact...

Westbrook even bringing and extending that leg forward in an attempt to shield the ball

It was a bit spazzy and unnecessary, but clearly not an attempt to injure. It annoys me as it's another injury marring the playoffs, but I can't fault a marginal player for hustling like hell to try and earn spot in league.
