Here comes another unexpected pick. Not even going to try to predict this one.

LM: #Bears have traded down with Falcons, moving down 10 spots in fifth round to acquire Atlanta's seventh-round pick (236th overall).

Like the move.

Brad Biggs @BradBiggs

#Bears receive No. 163 in 5th round and No. 236 in 7th round from #Falcons so team moves down 10 spots to add 7th rounder
---

Emery finally trades down and basically gets nothing in return...

Of course. WHY NOT DRAFT ANOTHER O LINEMAN? Not like we need a CB or anything.

We drafted Jordan Mills, OT, Louisiana Tech.

A lot of people wanted multiple OL in this draft. We still have one more pick and it's still possible for a CB to be there later.

Of course he is...Long has barely played. I will be shocked if Long plays much at all this year...pure project.

So this means Mills would have been best lineman at the Senior Bowl

well I assume to be a radio sports show host you have to have at least as much knowledgeable expertise as the average message board dweller.

Do they know more about the Bulls than your average RealGM poster does?

They're there to drive ratings. Being knowledgeable is secondary.

depends who we are talking about, and their background and reputation. I really dont have any idea what his name is or where his knowledge base comes from. Which is why I left it at , "some Score guy was saying".

Jake, the two biggest needs heading into the draft were O-Line & LB. The Bears made a decision to invest multiple picks into those positions & I'm very happy about it.

I also think that we got a steal in the 7th round with the WR.

I really love the 7th round pick, and I think you're right about that, HOWEVER...

The multiple picks towards LB and OL makes no sense to me. As far as the multiple linemen go, I can deal with Long. We need an OLineman and we got one. Now when we drafted a second one, they lost me. The 2nd guy is not good enough to get any playing time so it seems to me that the pick could've better been used.

Same goes for the LB. Bostic, not a fan of the pick, but works. Maybe he's our future LB, but then we draft ANOTHER. He's going to get stuck behind not only Bostic but we just signed DJ Williams, who will get the start anyways.

I just don't get the idea of trying to get more than one pick to fill one need.

I believe that we picked the two LBs to replace not only Urlacher, but Briggs as well. I believe that this is Lance's last season in Chicago.

I think Long and Bostic will start this year. Long from the start of the year and Bostic will overtake Williams later on. That's how it should be with your top two picks and they are talented enough to do it.

Greene should be a starter next year. DJ Williams and Anderson both expire at the end of the season. That means Bostic and Green have the perfect opportunity to be playing alongside Briggs next year.

Same with Mills. Webb, Scott and Britton all expire at the end of the season. Carimi will be fighting to play at guard. Slauson will be expire. Garza and Edwin Williams' contracts are also up at the end of the season. So Mills will probably be our starting somewhere on the line next year.

Good info, Heir.

The FO went into this draft looking to inject youth into two key positions (O-Line & LB). The only thing that I disagree with you about is Briggs. I think that he's outta here after the season.

If Devin Hester wasn't run out of Chicago before his contract expired there's no way Emery does it to Briggs. We will have more than enough cap space to make major moves to the roster and Briggs will expire after the 2014 season.

I also think the Bears could've added young corners since all of ours' will be expiring, but I guess Emery liked Mills more than he liked Poyer. And maybe he plans on re-signing both Tillman and Jennings.
