I would love to see Brooklyn tank and crash, purely because no team should make so many consecutive bad decisions and be rewarded for it.

The right to swap picks is just a plus. I personally think in 2 years we will have a better record than them.

"With the 1st pick in the 2014 NBA draft, obtained by simple swap with the Brooklyn Nets, the Atlanta Hawks select . . . the next Michael Jordan/LeBron James."

And then we swap with them again in 2015...

I mean, I commend them for shooting for the stars with pursuits of Lebron, Melo and Dwight and understand fully the need for them to kick off their new beginning in Brooklyn with some positivity but damn at the fact that they simply built the reincarnation of the Gil, Tawn' and Butler Wizards teams of the mid 2000s. What makes this the worst possible situation for them is that their crosstown rivals are doing so well at the same time. Nets fans could at least revel in the Knicks being mediocre too but it has to really sting that they are likely to bow out in the 1st round while the Knicks are seen as locks for the Conference Finals.

The Nets had alot of potential going forward, ALOT. Before the Deron trade they had Derek Favors (top 3 pick), a future top 3 pick which ended up being Kanter, and probably another top 3 pick on the way which could've been Lillard. Heck they would've gotten Lillard even with the Deron trade if they hadn't have stupidly given away their lotto pick (yes, given away) for Gerald Wallace.

I understand them trying to usher in a new era going into Brooklyn but they had absolutely no patience with the Deron trade; and look at what it got them: they ended up having to trade for the worst contract in Basketball in Joe Johnson (Thanks Nets) and then they signed Gerald too old for athleticism Wallace to a 4 year 44 mil contract, couple that with the max given to Deron and Lopez and the Nets are screwed for the next 4-5 years, they're gonna be another middle of the pack team and the 2000s Wizards team is a great comparison, nicely done Mace.

Perhaps. But they were one of the worst teams in the league for 6 straight years. They are atop 4 team in the East, have a franchise Center, a franchise PG and will go hard after a big time coach this summer.

They do have a short window to contend. But in three years JJ's contract comes off the books. Their owner laughs in the face of luxury tax. They also play in the largest market in the world. I think they will take this over 6 years of basement dwelling.

And to be honest...I think Brooklyn has more talent than NYC. But the Knicks have a better coach. :o

But, yeah. They screwed the pooch n trading a lottery pick for Gerald Wallace.

It should have been us that fleeced that #6 pick from Brooklyn. Josh for that draft pick is the rare trade that would have benefitted both teams.

The only thing worse than trading that pick for Wallace...signing Wallace to a massive $40 million contract.

Tell y'all one thing: watching HOU v OKC, HOU really drafted well when they got Parsons.

Agreed. Here's hoping Jenkins can develop in a similar fashion.

And I think Sergey Karasev, the rookie out of Russia, can be an even better version of Parsns. Here's hoping we get to draft him.

Hurts me to say it, but Rockets look better without Lin on the floor. He just really isn't a good fit with Harden if Harden's going to have the ball in his hands often.

Been saying that all year. I honestly think Tyreke Evans would be a great fit. It puts Evans in a situation where he doesn't have to be the primary ball handler all the time, and Harden gives him space to operate with.

I consider Lin vastly overrated, he had a good month with the Knicks and that's it. The only reason he was hyped up in the media was because of the New York market. Lin does not deserve the same salary as Asik

Lin is a damn good guard in a scheme that doesn't fit him. When Harden went down, Lin looked like the other Lin from New York...the one from before Anthony and Stoudimire got back.

When he dominates the ball, he can do some great things, but he is a one trick pony that can't do much more than that. In Houston, Harden dominates the ball for 18 of the 24 seconds a lot of times, and if Lin isn't giving you his positives, he is pretty useless.

Back to the Knicks, Celtics, the Knicks have shown to be the stupidest bunch of morons in the world and I wouldn't be surprised if Boston takes this series. First, Smith and his elbow fired up a team on the ropes. Then you do the stupid "funeral" crap...they might be bulletin boarding their way to a loss.

Also, Rivers has made the defensive and offensive adjustments. SUPRISE SUPRISE, Mike Woodson hasn't changed a freaking thing.

Both games last night were very exciting. Chicago upset Miami and Golden State gave the game to the Spurs.

I called it before the playoffs started that the Spurs were gonna win it all this year. They're looking really good

I missed the Boston and Atlanta picks from the first round but have been dead on the rest of the playoffs. I have no idea what to think in the Spurs/Warriors. I am picking Memphis, Indiana, Miami for the other matchups.

I won't really be nervous unless they lose both in Oakland, The Spurs are just too composed and have just too good of a coach to start to panic and implode.

Man, this year's playoffs have been some of the most exciting since the switch to a 7-game first round format.

it's ironic that even with all the Game 7s on TV this weekend, the only lower seeded team to advance from the melee was Brooklyn. (Not counting Portland who beat up on HOU in only 6 games.)

Clippers v Thunder could be one of the best series in recent memory.

Hopefully Brooklyn gives MIA all they can handle. Joe Johnson is playing some fantastic ball right now. Still not worthy of that horrid contract, but he's been the Nets best player since Lopez went down.

LaMarcus Aldridge played pretty brilliantly in the first round, even matched up opposite D-Howard the defensive savant. D Lillard played even better. They have a wonderful core to build around for the next 5+ years. With that said, I don't think POR gets past the SPURS.

Does anyone here still think Josh is better than LMA?
Or still believe Teague is better than Damian Lillard?
