JG man, don't do it. I mean we have Deron Williams, Brook Lopez, a top lotto pick to draft or trade for a star, oodles of cap space, Euro stashes and all our own picks with no stipulations and we're about to go into Brooklyn to takeover the city!

 I deleted the post so there is no context to this, but I love how that's nearly exactly what King said when he first got the position and then again after trading for Deron.

I was going to go back and quote it, I still have it copied and ready to paste in fact, but then everyone is going to turn on you and plus you wouldn't like TJ when he's angry.

we need a second star.

Brook Lopez can not be the 2nd best player on a team that does anything. and he cant be the 3rd best player on a team without 2 legit stars.

JJ can be the 3rd best player on a team that wins i think.

i think we have to look at shipping lopez in a deal for someone like Love or LMA. We have gone as far as we can go with lopez. i dont think anything is going to change with him. if its the playoffs and you are still playing like a vagina nothing will ever wake you up

You can add Love or LMA and the result will still be the same.

now it wont. love is a competitive guy. he spaces the floor. he rebounds. he runs. he is an elite passer for a big.

he does so many things that help play team ball that lopez does not do. it removes reggie from the starting lineup, and if we can score a defensive minded center, would trastically improve us defensively.

I think we just need a rebounding/hustle guy that can actually score a bit and isn't a complete liability at the offensive end and can put back the ball on offensive rebounds. Like a Brandon Bass / Paul Milsap / David Lee / Dujuan Blair / Glenn Davis / Kenyon Martin.

Man i wish there was a way to pry Anderson Varajeo from the Cavs.

we would still be awful defensively and had a ton of non competitive guys who dont pass well.

So he can miss 40 games per season for us too?

I agree. Especially on LMA. He is no better than Lopez. How many years in a row does he have to drive Portland no where despite quality starting 5's for people to realize he isnt all that either. Good player. Not great.

I am a bigger fan of Love. I cut him more slack because I feel that team has been in rebuilding mode forever. He doesnt play with Batum, Lillard, Wes Matthews and a credible role playing center. This year had the potential to be the best supporting cast he has had...and its still pretty weak.

As much as I like David Lee..the idea of adding another bad defensive player to this mix is a bit scary. The only top 50 NBA player who is worse defensively than Lee is Nash.

I think we either need to upgrade Deron or we are going to need to pile it on. As in turn Hump+Euros+picks into another quality player at a need spot.

I come back to Pau Gasol as a guy I can see available for us.

I honestly wouldnt have a problem with shipping Deron out for a younger PG who is starting to show promise of greatness. I think GSW would laugh at an offer for Curry (although I am sure many will cringe at his health issues)...but I dont know how many people watched John Wall post all star break this year. He was off the charts.

Are the Wizards under the cap? Could we pull an S&T? I am sure some of you will scoff at Wall over Deron...but dont be shocked a year from now if he surpasses him. Not ready to call that a lock. But I will say that I can see Wall still fulfilling his all world promise.

Well Wall has all the tools. My question is whether or not he can take the next step once he's in a position to. I see him moping around quite a lot at times. That could of course be a product of playing in Washington. And despite how bad the situation there has been he still did good things for them (as you said, post All-Star Break). I honestly like the idea of getting Wall.

Just for arguments sake, what happens if you can get LMA while keeping Lopez?

I'd stop following this team entirely if they traded Deron for Wall.

I follow for the name on the front of the jersey, not the back, but that would be such a stupid, bad move.

Wall is a big ball of meh and his potential and ceiling are absurdly overrated at this point.

He's absolutely sucked balls outside of a month or two here and there. I wouldn't doubt he finally gets it and becomes an actual good player, but a top player? Or even just an All Star top 30 level player? Or even just consistent? Doubt it.

He's a full bodied Devin Harris without the self confidence and some half court game.

Then obviously you take it, but you can't. Especially not if Cleveland is offering what they're supposedly offering.

Yeah, I don't see any case where LMA is traded for anything that we have outside of Lopez.
