Laker fan here. Even though I miss saying my old Ice Cube line of "The Lakers beat the Supersonics", I would've missed the Kings being in Sacramento much more. Even though the rivalry has been dormant for awhile, one day both teams will seat atop the Western Conference (And NBA as a whole) and we'll get to relive it once again. Being from and growing up in LA, I always loved the wars between our respective franchises. Really excited that yall pulled this out. KJ deserves to have a statue put up at the new arena. Or at least a banner or have the court named after him or something.

Here's to our next Western Conference Finals match up.

Congrats guys, I'm a Blazer fan who's watched the kings in years past and while I'd like to see the Sonics make an arrival to the NBA again, I didn't want it to happen at the cost of the city of Sacremento losing their team. Best of luck guys, Kevin Johnson deserves a TON of credit here.

Great news for Sacramento! Now that it looks like the Kings will stay and the Maloofs will go, I might end my year-long hiatus from paying attention to the NBA.

I certainly feel bad for my friends and coworkers here in the Seattle area. Hansen and Balmer would make great owners and they have a very nice arena plan. They just need to find another team or convince the other owners to back expansion. The Sonics really need to come back to Seattle...somehow. I'm thrilled, though, that it won't be at the expense of Sacramento losing the Kings.

Magic fan here, and congratulations!!!! I always have thought Sacramento deserves a team, and you all rallied and showed your support and willingness to do whatever it takes to keep the kings in town. That is what it is all about.

We only need 3 of the remaining 17 owners to agree with the 12-0 vote in the relocation committee for relocation to be shot down. Then we need exactly 8 of 29 guys who just shot down relocation to cancel the sale.
