Called him "One of the highest character guys he's ever been around," and is searching for permission to say more.

He didn't expect to be drafted, was watching the draft as a fan. Said he was speechless when the Packers called. Packers were his only team visit.

I love stuff like this. Hope he manages to stick.

Sounds like Kevin Greene really believes in him. Maybe he can be our Greg Lloyd.

http://www.jsonline.com/sports/packers/ ... 37481.html

On his visit to Green Bay, the 6-foot-2, 248-pound Palmer eventually met Greene. They watched film of Matthews, and Greene offered a challenge.

"He said, 'I can get you there, if you want it. If you want to go there, I got what it takes to get you to that next level,' " Palmer said. "(He said), 'All you have to do is be a hard worker like him. I think that's the kind of person you are. Let's go. Let's go to that next level.' "

Greene sounds like he would be great to play for.

I hope Greene sticks around long enough to get a shot at replacing capers when he retires, I think he will eventually make a great head coach . :D

Greene's strategy:

1. Turn on tape of Clay Matthews dominancing.
2. Tell player "I can get you to this level. It just takes hard work. Do exactly what he is doing."
3. Player responds "Coach, I don't think I'm physically capable of doing that."
4. Greene then responds "That's because you are a little bitch."
5. Player becomes angry and motivated.
6. Player dominates?

:D

Last season we carried 4 OLB. I expect same this year. With only Clay, Perry & Moses returning - there is a roster spot wide open for him.

Return to Green Bay Packers
