Sloan or Budenholzer would be my top choices for coach, but it looks like we're going to have to choose between McMillan or a scrub. so I guess McMillan would be the coach, unless Zelly is serious about coming over, he'd probably be worth the risk at this point.
Draft Mac if we end up top 3 or Oladipo at 7. if worse comes to worst we take KCP. use our 2nd rd pick and cash to move up high enough to take Withey. take Snaer or Snell with our other 2nd rd pick if we draft Mac, or a draft and stash guy if we take Dip or KCP.
offer Iggy 3/45 and see what happens, I cant bring myself to give him a 4th year at 15 mil. if we dont get him id probably go after Brewer(Mac or KCP) or Granger(Dip).
I was against bringing Iggy in for a long time, but our PG situation is fugly and FA and the Draft isnt much prettier(the reason Stuckey is still on the roster next year.). Iggys playmaking could help the team a lot and if we can get him on a 3 year deal, i'd throw 15 a year at him.
sign either Speights or Clark to a deal in the 3/18 range. 3rd big who can help spread the floor and rebound and play decent D.
sign D. Wright for 1yr/3mil. veteran shooter off the bench.
sign E. Watson for the vet min. veteran to help BK learn the ropes.
BK/Stuckey/Watson
Mac/Snaer*/English (*Dorrell Wright if we draft DIp or KCP)

Re: JMs Half Baked Plan.
Sounds like a down earth game plan...I'm still a little hesitant to sign Iggy, but your spot on about his playmaking skills...I would much rather see Denver re-sign Iggy and we absorb Chandler...Speights is ok, I would much rather go all in for Millsap or Bynum to form a strict 3-big man monster...I think alot of teams are thinking Bynum is done, we could get him for cheap...Withey would be a nice pick-up, he may have some Piston blood in him...

Re: JMs Half Baked Plan.
Iggy is getting old and will soon be on the decline to be making $15 mil per. I doubt he gets anything more than 11 or 12 with the new contract.
Also, Earl Clark and Speights are not worth $6 mil per. More like 3-4 mil per.

3 years would pretty much run through the tail end of his prime, so hopefully there isnt much drop off in his game between now and then.
im basically overpaying a little bit to get a 3 year instead of 4 year contract and adding in the Detroit premium. 3/36 is what id want to give him, but that isnt getting him here.
I think Clark could be had for around 3/12, but I think Speights is going to get 3/15-18. I went 18 because of Detroit premium.

Re: JMs Half Baked Plan.
IMO Iggy will still command 15 mil a year.
Old guys commanding large salaries:
Kobe, Dirk, Joe Johnson, Paul Pierce, Arenas
People making 11/12 million or more that are on the same tier as Iggy or worse:
Rashard Lewis, Rudy Gay, Boozer, Zach Randolph, Al Jefferson, Chandler, Okafor, Deng, Josh Smith, David Lee, Kevin Martin, Nene etc
No way Deng gets 13 million and Iggy gets 11 when there one year apart.
@JM I think your plan may be my favorite so far out of the ones listed.

There's no reason for Igg to come here aside from money, and I can't see him taking a 3 year deal. He has all the leverage and I think it's pretty clear we would have to overpay by quite a bit to get him in a Pistons uni.

I just doubt Iggy will get his $15 mil per under the new CBA from a good team outside Denver. But, I reckon there will be a bottom feeder that will.

I'm coming around to the idea of bringing in Iggy for the 3 but it would have to be 5 years 50 mill at most. I'd prefer 5 years at 45 mill personally. Oladipo is ok but prefer Muhammed.

Re: JMs Half Baked Plan.
Iggy will get paid.
He fits with us depending on our draft situation.
Iggy can shoot & stretch the floor for our bigs so he fits our mold.

Post Draft Update
well, no Budenholzer and we settled for a scrub. not surprising.
worse came to worst and we walked away from the draft with KCP, cant really complain.
still want to therow 3/45 at Iggy and see what happens, even though its a longshot. Brewers probably still my fallback option if he could be had reasonably.
still wouldn't mind bringing in Wright to give us a veteran shooting wing.
after drafting Mitchell and not getting Withey, Dalemberts the guy I would target for frontcourt depth instead of Speights or Clark. plus I think hed be a good mentor for Dre.
with Siva probably on the roster and Cheeks as coach there really isn't any need to bring in Watson as our 3rd point guard.
CV needs to be amnestied, his raw cap space will be more valuable at next years deadline than his expiring contract.
Roster
BK/Stuckey/Siva
Wright/KCP/English
Iggy/Middleton/Singler
Moose/Mitchell/JJ
Dre/Dally/VK
or if we strike out on Iggy we could always go with the
buy Stuckey out, bring in Kabongo.
amnesty CV.
fill out the rest of the roster with ufas and vet min guys.
let the kids play, see who sticks and wait til next year.
BK/Siva/Kabongo
KCP/English/Snaer
Middleton/Singler/Bob
Moose/Mitchell/JJ
Dre/VK/Bob
not my preference, but sometimes you gotta do what you gotta do.

for the record, I hate Stuckey as much as the next guy, but unless his attitude is that horrible I think our best bet is to keep him, surround him with shooters and make him our 1st option of the bench. hopefully he'll be on his best behavior in a contract year. if not we can buy him out at any time
