no quite Webber calling a TO when he didn't have one but that was
obviously a serious brain fart. And he had clearly been the best player
in the game until that moment. He'll bounce back though.

What I'm curious about is whether Wall will ever shoot jumpers as
good as Westbrook now does. If he does, he'll be a top 10 player
in the league, if not....trade him, he's a bum <JK> really!

Warms my heart to see so many of you guys coming around on LeBron and, at the very least, giving him the props he deserves as a player. :P

As if there was ever any doubt about Lebron as a player.. Still can't stand him, and it's not likely to ever change.

Wade has become much more dislikable than LeBron this year IMO.

This...times infinity...

I will never like LeBron as long as I live and will always root against him no matter what. I will never forgive him for winning a series against my beloved Wizards by travelling twice on game winning shots and taunting Arenas at the foul line. There's nothing he can ever do to change my opinion of him based soley on that series.

Is he the best basketball player on the planet? Yes. Has he seemingly matured beyond his shrinkage of the last couple seasons? Yes. But I can admit those things and still dislike him as a person, which I have every intention of doing. Here's what I have to say to all of those who are "coming around" on LeBron:

Yeah, that time he whispered in Gil's ear before Gil missed the foul shot... that's always going to leave a sore spot. Then again, he was a kid then.

There are enough open minded people here. I'm not surprised. We hated him first will always be our badge of pride. We have the pages to prove it. But he earned that hate. Now because he is acting and performing differently, he is earning some respect. He seems a lot more mature and he seems to have come to terms with himself and learned how a true leader on a team acts.

When we hate. We hate.
When we don't we are... hey, he is alright.

LeBron James. There you go. We can say it now.

What did that shirt say that he was wearing in all the interviews today: Earned not Given?
Dude really? What is wrong with wearing a simple polo or oxford when on national tv.
His inner douche is still showing. . .

Yeah, I noticed that when I saw it on....oh wait a minute, I didn't see it. That's right, because I have avoided SportsCenter, Sports Radio, and espn.com ever since last Thursday night. Color me petty, but I have no interest in the affirmation-fest going on right now.

Yes, I know it undermines my new-found respect for LeBron's on-court performance and demeanor. But I still bristle at the way the Heat were put together, the original press conference/rock concert (worse than The Decision, IMO), the smug arrogance of pretty much the entire roster.

So yeah, I'm the immature one, but I refuse to watch the coverage - especially given the way ESPN was so harsh on him up to this point. Just looking forward to the Draft, when the entire focus shifts away from the Finals...

They had ESPN on at the cafeteria I had lunch at today. . .otherwise I agree with you Severn Hoos, I have avoided TV coverage of the NBA post finals. I'll tune in again for the draft and for Vegas Summer League. I cannot stomach the Miami coronation bit either.

ha - CWB (can I call you Bill?) - caught me in a little white lie, b/c I did see the interview (no sound) at lunch also. But I paid so little attention to it that I couldn't read the T-shirt, although I saw what looked like a gold ring in the middle. Ugh.

I am sad that we no longer have the "Not one, not two, not three...." line to affirm any more.

It could still be, "Yep. One. That's it."

Still hate him.. Hard not to appreciate what he's doing from a basketball standpoint though.

Oh yeah the question was never whether or not he was talented or could play the game, the question was always whether or not he was irredeemable as a human colostomy bag. Jury is still out as far as I'm concerned. Still seems a pompous douche to me.

I don't hate him as much as before, he's had his best season and is much more business like. He's just flat out dominating teams and there's no way to stop him at this point.

He probably is still a douche but it isn't as outwardly shown as before, thats for sure.
