that which we call a rose by any other name would smell as sweet.

Re: Washington's Name
Two reasons why the name Bullets is likely off the table:
1) out of respect for Abe Pollin original rationale for changing the name, and
2) because the franchise was almost always last in the league in merch sales when they were named the Bullets (which, granted, was probably due to lack of star-power). Merch sales ticked up a bit when CWebb arrived. And again, of course, when MJ suited up. I remember reading somewhere that the Jordan Bullets throwback jerseys sold better than any other jersey the year it was offered.
Plus, it seems like Ted is set on the name Monuments, which is his brand (Monumental Entertainment).

Bullets for sure.
- Sound aggressive
- We don't sound like a Disney team
-Sounds cool
-And also sounds like a NBA team to me vs Wizards who sounds like a pre-school team.

If you vote Wizards you need a brain scan.
Eric Maynor is the worst basketball player I've ever seen.

Didnt that scene above play out over in Capitol Hill a few months back when some transplant yup decided it was a good idea to walk around late at night with an iPhone?

If you are indeed referring to this, you truly are a dark-hearted piece of sh*t. This poor guys did nothing wrong, and his family's life has been ruined.

I do feel bad about what happened but you just cant go walking around late at night anywhere you want with an expensive electronic gadget on full display and think nothing is going to happen.
I had a friend (a prep school golfer) who used to walk around Georgetown and Foggy Bottom with 10k in cash on him just to impress the ladies. He would flash it on the street, in restaurants, inside the mall, inside Time-Out etc...
As stupid as this sounds even he had enough sense not to venture or wander off anywhere east of 18th Street.
All these transplants walking around DC late at night similarly to how they would walk the suburban cul-de-sacs they came from are just asking for trouble.
You couldn't pay me enough money to walk around Capitol Hill late at night with an iPhone.

I usually get a chuckle out of Wes_Tiny_Abe_'s shtick and his Daniel Day Lewis-esque dedication to staying "in character". But honestly it's gone too far in this thread. Whether dude is completely delusional screaming " Mom, more meatloaf" from the basement of his parent's place or he's just trying to stay " in character", it just doesn't matter to me anymore. His time is up. I'm not putting him on ignore. He just needs to be banned. Seriously.
I'm pretty sure this board will survive without him.

And just to provide a little color to the above about why I feel so strongly about my post, I was in a very similar situation in the early 90's when I was in college. Thankfully, I didn't get beat senseless, but I was roughed up, robbed of my car keys, wallet, money, etc. while minding my own business by three "tough guys" with guns and knives just looking for a payday. I complied with their requests and was thankfully spared my life and health.
And I just can't wrap my head around why someone with the mental capacity to "post" messages would make light of this situation.
