If I'm a billionaire, I'm not going to sell my good name in my home state for an extra 50 million. Now If I'm making 40k a year, I'll **** on each and every good citizen in the entire state for 50 million w/o a 2nd though, but if I'm a billionaire? Can't see that happening. Especially when the Seattle and Sacramento situations have shown how contentious it is to move a franchise. I don't see that as a realistic scenario.

I don't think Taylor is that type of guy. He takes pride in keeping an NBA team in Minnesota, he doesn't want to be the guy to send them away too (especially when they are on the edge of being good again).

Yeah but are you a billionaire we don't know his mentality he can do what he pleases people have sold out for much less. Look at all the vevo artist sell outs on YouTube lol it's good to keep all options open.

Show me a single thing he has done or said that backs up your argument.

Everything he has done/said during this entire process has basically said the opposite of what you're saying.

Otherwise it's just fabrication.

I'm guessing you aren't a billionaire either, so that point doesn't really help you.

It doesn't my point is just to keep the option open people can say and do different things. I do trust he will try and keep the team but there's always that possibility that it can happen.

Seems like pointless to even start a discussion then. :D

Leverage to make sure they still get their cut of the stadium deal, with electronic pull tabs looking ridiculous

As a Timberwolves fan, I sure we don’t become the next in line. Our owner is looking to sell, but only to a buyer committed to keeping the team in Minnesota. Still, many Wolves fans are worried that it could still happen.

For Seattle, the Timberwolves might be one of the best possible outcomes. The roster and coaching staff has tons of ties to both Washington and the Pacific Northwest (Love, Adelman, Porter, Sikma, Ridnour). Plus, it has young marketable star power in Love and Rubio.

It makes logical sense, but I hope and pray that it doesn’t happen!

Aren't we getting the Target Center renovated though?

Here is what I worry about. Sure someone can come in and say they aren't moving the team right now, and for 5 years, everything is cool, but then they could think, "Minnesota is just not a basketball state..." and move the team somewhere else. If we start winning games I will be less worried but as it stands now, the Timberwolves rank so low on the Minnesota sports team, I can see some new owners desiring to take the team some place where the fans will really be behind the franchise.

Does anyone know what the Timberwolves lease situation is? And is the renovation tied to an extension of the lease?

Speaking of buying hookers. You guys here about those multi millionaires who pay celebs for sex? Apparently its a huge thing and many celeb/actresses have done it, way more than you would think. There are some Sultans who do it too. They see some chick, have their people recruit her and she spends a couple weeks with them. After that she goes back to LA or wherever loaded with expensive bling and like 400K

The team isn't going anywhere, our owner has been name Philanthropist of the Year a few times. He has his name on quite a few buildings around Mankato and his wife is very involved in giving away his cash. Not a chance he lets the team move, his reputation is far more important, he already has a couple billion, he's 72 years old. I doubt cash is driving him as a motivator these days.

More importantly, did you guys see the background image on Phil's twitter account... damn.

That's it! We need some arab sheik from Dubai to buy the team so he could sh$t on Stern and his lux tax rules with crude oil money. It works in english soccer and can work here. Real talk.

He might move the team, though. Then we would have to support the Dubai Oilers. Home games would be played in a penthouse basketball stadium 60 storeys up, I'd imagine.

I'm pretty sure that Kahn could be terminated over the telephone.

Darren Wolfson ‏@DarrenWolfson 59m
As @WindhorstESPN is reporting & what I tweeted earlier & reported on KSTP: Flip will have ownership stake. Word is approx. $8M investment. @WindhorstESPN also reporting that Taylor is taking team off the market. I guess that's his big announcement from Tuesday. #twolves
