Hawks vs. Pacers game 5. Best of 3 series

Post#1 » by ATL Boy » Wed May 1, 2013 8:00 pm

If it aint broke don't fix it: That's Larry Drew's motto with the starting lineup which will be the same tonight as it was in the last 2 games:
PG: Jeff Teague
SG: Devin Harris
SF: Josh Smith
PF: Al Horford
C: Johan Petro

LET'S STEAL GAME 5!!!

Hope Drew has prepared for the inevitable adjustments Indy will have made.

I think we can all agree, the key to tonight's game is:

Shelvin Mack!!

I only have one request. Officials, PLEASE call a fair game. If they do, I think we go back to Philips on Friday with a chance to close out this series.

Drew needs to play Jenkins over Harris. He's bigger and a better defender.

Hwks down 7 at the half. We were outrebounded 25-11 n the first half.

We need a real Center.

David West is killing. Not surprising as he owned Horford head to head this season.

That's odd. I had heard several times that Devin was the best perimeter defender amongst the guards. (Not including Dahntay)

Just walked in - looks like a mess. Except for being outshot by about 20 percentage points and outrebounded by more than a 2-1 ratio, we're ...

Been waiting for Horford to do that for 2 games. Take the pain; get the foul.

A ghost 4th foul against Josh when we were down 11 is what did us in, not only did it give Smith his 4th (he picked up his 5th just a minute later) but it also stopped a promising fast break. The officiating that's been going on in games 1, 2, and 5 has been sadder than the night life in the state of Indiana

Horford takes West 2 times in a row, getting fired up in the process. Soooooo, what do we do on offense? We haven't given him the ball since.

I honestly think Teague is the best defender amongst the guards when he is locked in. Harris would be 3rd on my list.

We finally give the ball to our best player on the court. He scores, too.

We go right back to him. 2 in a row.

Okay, Horford got his 2 possessions, time to go away from him again. Nevermind he's 4-4 the last 4 times we've given him the ball. Whatever happened to going with something until we make the other team change?

Note: since we got down by 20, the refs have been giving us most of the calls. We just shot 19 FTs in this 3rd qtr.
