Looking for insight on Jordan Hamilton

Post#1 » by PhilasFinest » Mon Apr 29, 2013 10:43 pm

Hey, outsider here. Just trying to get some insight on Jordan Hamilton and his role/future with the Nuggets.

I was a fan of his in college, and after summer league thought he was poised to have a breakout year with him size/ability to score/shoot the ball. Assuming he is having trouble getting burn with the abundance of quality wings you have, but do you think he has a future with Denver in the coming year(s)?

Thanks and appreciate any info....best of luck the rest of the way in the playoffs, I'm pulling for you's.

The abundance of wings may be going away this summer, in case you do not realize Igoudala has said multiple times he is opting out, Brewer is a free agent, and Gallo is out until somewhere around the all star break next year more then likely. Leaving the Nuggets Chandler, Fournier, hamilton, and Quincy Miller as guys who are either SGs or SFs that will be on the roster and healthy come July 1st.

That said if Karl is staying in Denver, then the Nuggets may as well trade him, as I do not see karl ever giving him minutes. for whatever reason karl has decided he does not like him, which any Nuggets fan will tell you means he will never get the minutes he needs or deserves.

good rebounder for his position... 3 ball range and likes to shoot them. defensive potential... but a work in progress for sure. needs to improve @ the foul line. if he started for the 76ers next year he probably would have a break out year. I don't think that would shock anyone.

Beginning of the year, all the talk was about JHam and what a huge role he would have with the Nuggets. He had a decent summer league and apparently looked good in training camp/pre-season

He started the first game of the season, then played here and there throughout Nov/Dec. Then was regulated to the bench for Jan/Feb/Mar/Apr - mean while the guy that pretty much took his place on the roster, Corey Brewer, his best friend on the team, played a pivotal role in Denver. If CBrew stays, I cannot see JHam playing much.

From what I have witnessed, and I have watched 95% of the Denver games, he was not dedicated to defense. He can rebound and shoot, but a lot of the times he would just hoist up shots and not focus on doing more for his teammates.

I think if GK is here, the kid may as well be traded, he could play 20+ mins elsewhere and help a team.

I don't think we'll re-sign Brewer, the guy basically played himself out of here.

What makes you say that? He is our 3rd leading scorer in the Playoffs (through 4 games) and played well in the regular season. When Gallo went down he stepped up and averaged almost 15 ppg in April.

Couldn't care less about regular season.

Just not what this team needs. Bad shooter, bad defender, poor basketball IQ. His cherry picking offense gets shutdown in the playoffs and when he doesn't get that going for him, he has nothing.

Maybe if Thompson and a future 1st are included, but I don't know that the Nuggets would do that. I think the Nuggets are wanting either cap space and picks if they lose Igoudala as they take a step back.

I am really looking forward to seeing him ACTUALLY play this season. Not just in garbage time.

Return to Denver Nuggets
