It will be much less by then, I'm sure. The bandwagoners/trolls will have long stopped caring.

if we only take one game this weekend, or god forbid we get swept at home by the mariners, then 12-24 by the end of the week would be a blessing. off we go to tampa, where we haven't won a series in 5 years, and then to fenway to get our asses handed to us AGAIN by the redsox. 12-28 through 40 games seems very possible. what a sad sad state of affairs.

Bautista outplays his contract by more than $70 million over the next four seasons (2013-2016).

So will some of the rest of us if they play like this.

Rasmus at .255 is our leading hitter by average, 15 points better than anyone else.

I will say, however, that AA is teaching those sucks Colangelo and Nonis how to tank for a top 3 pick.

Alvarez apparently has a bad shoulder issue. He was likely damaged goods (in fact, I remember reading as much at the time in the snippet of an article by Shi Davidi that was later deleted at the time of the trade). Drabek has been awful whenever he's pitched in the majors, he's no savior. Hutchison is still months away from being a possible contributor.

That's hilariously pathetic, because he's striking out like 40% of the time. I've given up for now. This team is a complete joke and nobody can defend this nonsense logically and rationally. By all measures, we suck.

Batting average is a 1985 stat. We don't use it anymore.

Now maybe in 2013 we should redefine what an Elite hitter means.

Izturis/Bonafacio both have a OBP hovering around .200, Bill Bergen would be proud.

i don't think anyone seriously thought we'd win tonight, but we need to get the next two. For the love of god, please Dickey, throw a complete game shutout.

What looked like the team's minor weaknesses (2B and DH) have turned out to be major ones so far. Of course, those positions are only a small part of the collective underachievement.

Twenty games in and four games below .500 was definitely too early. Going 2-7 since against divisional rivals, leaving us more than ten games back of the AL East lead, is a different story;

Many of you were in denial. But most people could see thru the first 20 games that the team was falling fast.

I didn't like the moves made in the offseason -- my well-known preference was to trade our valuable players and continue building -- but I'm also cognizant of the fact that one-eighth of the schedule isn't determinative.

Can you blame then man? The way this team is playing, a lot of the true fans will be tuning them out as well. The stadium will probably be down to 15,000 fans by the summer and i do not blame them. Do not call them trolls/bandwaggoners. They are fans just like you who spend their hard-earned money and go to the stadium or watch every game they can. The first 5 weeks of this season has been crap, and i do not blame them for tuning this team out if they are out of it by August. I have followed

this team since 1991 when i was 8 years old, and i have never been so disgusted with this team's play. I turned off the TV after this team was down 4 runs and went to do a quick workout, because i know this team was done. More power to you if you enjoy watching bad baseball, but do not call the people that tune this team out trolls/bandwaggoners for not stomaching crappy baseball.

If the Jays keep playing like this, I won't blame anybody for not wanting to watch them. But that doesn't mean I won't continue to call out the trolls and bandwagoners for what they are.

I've watched virtually every Jays game so far and after 30 games, I've had enough. Every season I buy Jays tickets and at this point I'll stay home. I have never seen a more inept, disinterested group of ball players.

This is just impossible to watch. We're learning the hard way that a fantasy league GM with no natural eye for baseball talent can't assemble a winning major league team.

AA is a fantasy league GM now? Bit of a new one.

yet AL execs (all except AL east) were polled asking who would win this division and a vast majority picked the jays. it's not fair at all to say AA has 'no natural eye for baseball talent' when scouts, execs, "experts" all thought the jays would be far better than what we've seen.
