We should keep Knight. He's a hardworker with the right attitude. Besides, his value probably isn't all that great. Why sell low?

No trading Knight!..If he can't fix his consistency problem, at worst he could be our 6th man of the future...Plus the kid has Piston blood in him, no way should we trade him at all...

Utah gets their PG and we get some picks to gamble on wings?
We could draft Carter Williams, Caldwell-Pope and Sergey Kaserav. If we dont consider Knight our PGOTF- then there is no reason to hold onto him any longer. He's not a SG. If he has no position then he's a bench player, which means we need to sell on him now.
Utah needs a PG and I think they would part with both picks for Knight since he's atleast proven that he is an NBA caliber player and the draft is weak this year.
If we're not going to commit to him being our PG, then I would happily do this deal. In the end, it would be better for both parties.
#7 = SG Shabazz
#14 = SF Saric
#21 = PF Mitchell
2nd rounder = PG Kabongo, Schroeder, or McCallum

Although I think that Knight is a disgrace of a point guard, I have to agree with this post. The best you could get for knight is probably a late first rounder, and at that point you might as well just keep him on the team.

Unless we get CP3
, we need to keep Knight and let him be our starting PG next season.

At least we'd keep our lottery pick if we did.

Taking 4 rookies would set us back. We have enough young players...take a player at 7, use the 2nds to try to trade up...and call it day.

Re: What to do with Knight?
I like Brandon as a back-up combo guard for a few reasons. If Brandon played for a good team he would be coming off the bench as a combo guard because of his ability to score and create. There's a lot to like about his offensive ability especially in the pick-n-roll and in isolation. On the defensive end, he would put us at a disadvantage if he had to consistently guard shooting guards.
Brandon has a lot to improve upon if the Piston organization wanted to shape him into a point guard. First, Brandon would have to become more aware of his surroundings as evidenced by his poor court vision. Second, his finishing ability is average at best, he forces his way into the lane too often and has trouble finishing when challenged. To his credit he has improved in terms of controlling the tempo.

For the first time in my life I realized that I was truly happy.......then I remembered I was drunk.
