Rumored Clipper -Jazz trade. Unlikely

I’m of the belief that where there’s smoke there’s fire because the fact of the matter is the Jazz need a starting point guard to add to their young core. Another player that the Jazz could have some interest in is DeAndre Jordan. He is a young, athletic, defensive minded player that can give Derrick Favors some much needed help down low. Eric Bledsoe is scheduled to make $6.35 million over the next 2 seasons and DeAndre Jordan is set to make $22.4 million. In my trade scenario the Jazz would take on the $13.6 million in contracts due to these players next year while sending the 21st pick in this years draft and a future 2nd round pick the Clippers way.

So we get DeAndre Jordan and Bledsoe for a 1st and 2nd?

Hmmm...I like Bledsoe and Jordan will make $12M a year the next 2 years.

The Jazz cannot take on that salary......and Jordan is Duplication for FAvors and Kanter.

I love the idea of getting Bledsoe. Don't think the clips are giving up Jordan for anything less than favors though.

I think they're secretly desperate to unload him. He was a complete non-factor in the playoffs.

Idk what they'd want in his place though. He's a good defender that doesn't want the ball playing with players that need the ball. Probably overpaid, but he sure looks like a good fit from my seat.

He's a liability on offense. And they can't have two guys out there who can't shoot free throws.

I see your points- I just don't know who they'd throw out there that'd fit in better. They'd need a guy like favors- which brings me back to my post saying I don't think they give up Jordan without asking for favors. Clips are great on o, weak on d. They can afford a liability on o more than another one on d- which is what they'd get with most of today's nba centers. I'm not saying Jordan is untouchable, just that I don't think we are getting him and another starting caliber player for crap picks in a weak draft.

maybe the clippers get out of the first round with millsap over bledsoe. they have a lot of duplication at pg/ballhandlers, but clippers deserve to lose for not making a trade. i hope paul leaves them if i were paul i would run from the clippers, the fact they held onto bledsoe when they couldn've traded and del negro is obviously a coach they should've already gotten rid of,, but probably didn't just because of money. this shows me it is still the same old clippers, crappyracist owners and managment.they don't even get paul if stern doesnm't make that one sided trade that lefthornets the worst team in the league.

for this price it's a no brainer. you take this deal and run. 12M for two players is not much, not to mention that you don't have to keep both. you can always move one of them, and probably get better return than the paltry 21st pick in a weak draft.

i'm not a bledsoe guy (or a jordan guy) and i haven't changed my mind - i don't like him as a starting PG for the jazz. but for this price - you do it. you can always make more moves later.
Draft Nate Wolters - FAILED

The real decision the Jazz FO is making is between Continuity, Cap Flexibility, and Cash Considerations.

They will draft Dieng and Withey if Jordan loss is so critical. But I always thought Millsap is good fit for Clippers. I hope there is some S&T chance.
It's time to jazz with Hayward and Favors!
