So, one of the best games this postseason by LeBron and he ends up with 19/5/9 in 33 minutes... lol, it's just not his postseason number-wise I guess

Re: The Lebron Thread (Pt. 2)
Only complaint I have is that the 3 shots he took in the 3rd were outright awful, everything else he did was great. Funnily enough, Miami is demolishing the Bulls and LeBron can probably go dress himself for the postgame interview at this point, the Heat lead by 41 points.

Re: The Lebron Thread (Pt. 2)
His minutes are going to be way down compared to the typical Lebron postseason with all these decisive wins. Entering tonight he was already down about 5 minutes vs his career playoff average, and that should drop even more now

Miami's looking at like a net 65 per 100 possessions tonight
But in his home dwelling...the hi-top faded warrior is revered. *Smack!* The sound of his palm blocking the basketball... the sound of thousands rising, roaring... the sound of "get that sugar honey iced tea outta here!"

I'm drooling over some of those passes. The behind the back one to Allen? Jeez.

Predictable game from him. Wasn't going to let his team lose tonight. That loss was the best thing that could've happened LeBron-wise.
Needs to shoot more jumpers though once the D totally shifts on to him like it did from mid-2nd qtr onwards. Jack it up. Going off-the-dribble is not going to cut it.

130.7 ORTG, 88.6 DRTG. Miami's at a 111.6 ORTG, and 95.0 DRTG for the PS. Their offense has been at +11.6 in the two games against Chicago thus far.

I think when you're winning by 40 you don't really have to change things up.

136.0 ORTG and 94.0 DRTG with Lebron on the floor.

Kinda OT, but I find his decision to ditch the shooting sleeve interesting. Any specifics about it?

If Miami plays hard every game i find it unlikely that he will surpass 26-27 ppg for the playoffs as a whole.
Two different kinds of player in the two halves. Went from first three-peat MJ to young Magic. Phenomenal.

I could see Lebron averaging 23-7-6 for the playoffs. He's barely putting an effort out there

I wouldn't make anything of it. He's never been consistent with wearing it, its always been on/off with him as far as I can remember.

Yeah, I thought so too. He took it off at halftime in game 1, no clue why. First time I remember seeing him without it since game 6 against Dallas in 2011.
Oh, and the Ray Allen-ish FT form didn't seem to help at all. I'd be shocked if he didn't change his form up again before the Finals.

Yeah same. There's no need for him to do so anyway, I'd be much more impressed if Miami can play like a +15 team all playoffs long than if Lebron goes for 35/10/8

IIRC, people were making a deal about it during the 2011 season that it had something to do with his elbow still bothering him (the elbow injury talked about in the 2010 Boston series), so he got rid of it for the 2011 playoffs so people would stop talking about his elbow.
Not sure why he ditched it now, guess he just felt like it.

His defense has been arguably his best yet so far in the playoffs

The Bulls really don't have any offensive players that can score that well. Deng is not around nor Rose.
