Rookie signings don't need to be cleared with league offices, I don't think. Plus, I was informed to post those.

Coach and FA signings of any kind ABSOLUTELY need to be OK'd by roc though.

The Orlando Phantoms are proud to announce that we have finally hired out new coach.

Jerry Sloan has agreed to become the coach of the Phantoms for 3 years at 5 million per.

He loves the direction this team is going in, and loves the new owner.

In other news Jacque Vaughn has been let go by the team.

Assistants will be announced later..

Cleveland Rockers are pleased to announce Alvin Gentry has signed as assistant coach/offensive coordinator. Gentry lead a top 5 offence of all time in 2010 and his skills will work well in contrast to Mike Brown.

Cleveland Rockers are delighted to announce the signing of Tim Grover.

Grover will become an Assistant Coach - our specialist in athleticism, injury prevention and rehab coach - using his experience of his Attack Athletics business (and work with Wade, Jordan amongst others) to become our lead in this area.

The job will be part time - Tim will be afforded the freedom to continue running his own business.

The deal is 4 years $10m ($2.5m per year)

Cleveland Rockers have made strides to further detach themselves from the Cavaliers era, new Owner/GM lukekarts fires Mike Brown (taking a $5m hit), and hires Jeff Van Gundy for 4 years, $5m per year.

We feel Jeff Van Gundy is at least Mike Brown's equal as a defensive coach, and more adept at offensive coaching (a matter that will be supported by Gentry, too). He has matured too since he's been a broadcaster on ESPN, and we're confident this will be a big impact move and our players will fulfil their potential under his guidance.

Interesting note here: http://www.basketball-reference.com/blog/?p=7420 suggest JVG is in the 11-20 range of coaches (adding Offensive & Defensive ratings). Quite impressive. We're pleased he's coming to Cleveland.

The Philadelphia 76ers are pleased to announce the signing of their Native Son - Andrew Bynum. Bynum accepted the Bird Right - 5 year – offer starting at $16,500,000 with annual $1,237,500 raises - Total deal $ 94,975,000.

Philly could not let Bynum walk with nothing in return after spending 17.73M to watch him rehab in 2013.

Philadelphia is genuinely pleased to announce the signing of Center Tiago Splitter. Tiago has elected to accept our 5 year - $51,700,000 total offer which will pay him: $9,000,000; $9,675,000; $10,350,000; $11,025,000 and $11,700,000. The 76ers believe he will be a major presence in the middle for years to come. His skills allow him to play either the Center or PF position with Alex Len in a Big lineup.

HOU are very happy to have signed josh smith to a max deal starting at 16,500,000 for 94,875,000 total. we had cap before the contraction draft and he was one of our top targets anyways, but having gotten his bird rights helped us get him for another year.
