I would be very surprised if by the end of next year T-Rob is not starting. He is the only PF we have who has an elite skill (rebounding).

Re: Power Forwards
unless there is a way to improve his iq
i don't see t-rob can have a better career than stromile swift
i'm not kidding
if you keep him hoping he can turn into his best case scenario - al horford
we're better off just offer al horford the max deal
noway he's 6'10" in shoes
he looks smaller than parsons out there

Re: Power Forwards
Wow such low expectations of a rook. In my mind he would already earn playing time next year by simply learning how to play solid D w/o fouling, something nearly all rookie bigs have issues with. He's not going to be an offensive juggernaut but he doesn't need to be, good D + elite rebounding will be enough.
If you mean you think he's going to get traded that is also very possible of course due to fit with the offensive system, but I do think he will last and at the very least be a servicable rotation player in this league. I'm much less confident in TJones and D-Mo in the long-run.

Re: Power Forwards
he was #2 pick prospect
dropped to #6 and got traded before trade deadline for a good reason

Yeah he got traded because the Kings are on the verge of being sold by broke owners trying to cut cornors. That was pretty much the consensus at the time.

Wiz fan here, What would be the asking price on T-Rob? I can't think of much you'd want from our end...Obviously no wall/beal....I would have wanted to do a trade down scenario...but unless I'm wrong you guys don't have a first this year...

Re: Power Forwards
I'm 90% certain the Thomas Robinson will not be a Rocket by the end of the offseason. What does a PF need to do in Houston's system? Well, for one they probably need to have some outside ability. Robinson has none. He wasn't drafted by Houston, so you don't have any push to develop him out of loyalty.
More than likely, he is traded for a mid-level 1st round pick. Maybe not lottery, but something like 15-20. The Rockets don't need, he doesn't fit with the overall team plan, and he's at a position with a lot of competition. I wouldn't be too surprised if he and Lin are used to get a star player that isn't a free agent.
On the others, I'd say Jones has the right skillset, so he'd be the guy I'd look for.

I agree. T-Rob still has a high trade value now, because he's still a #5 draft pick who only played sparingly his rookie season, so his potential is still high for a team that wants a young, raw PF with a high ceiling. We already have more than enough young raw PFs.

I'm glad most of us feel the same way about Terrence Jones. I'm very high on him, especially defensively. A little worried about his shot, worried but hopeful.
