Re: Offseason Outlook
boy, we are already clogged up the middle with DJ and blake together, just imagine how much more congested it will be with D12 and blake. in fact, D12 will push blake out to perimeter and relegate him to being a jump shooter. and this is after we max out our salary cap with just 3 contracts. miami's big 3 works because they can all shoot and spread the floor. boston's old 3 worked for the same reason. and both big 3s had only 1 low post player to complement playmaking wings. we can't go with 2 low post players and 1 PG. who's gonna shoot? a vet minimum salary SGs and vet minimum salary SFs?
if anything, I'm sold on OG15's idea of trading for channing frye. we need a stretch big and let blake operate down low. blake may become a complete player oneday, that can shoot the mid range, make plays at better efficient rate, and rebound, play D, that can play off of a player like DJ. but that won't happen before Dj's contract expires. i would much, much rather improve this roster to complement CP3 and blake as they are now. that would be a stretch big, defensive wings who can shoot the lights out when given open shots, a fairly good cutters, that can play well without the ball. D12 doesn't fit the bill anymore than DJ. in fact, i wish we can trade out both DJ and Caron.

Danilo Gallinari's torn ACL could complicate matters. Gallinari is just 24 years old and on an affordable contract that will pay him $32.561MM over the next three seasons. He represents one of the team's best assets if Ujiri wants to make a deal. The same could be said for 25-year-old Ty Lawson, though the Nuggets just signed him to a four-year, $48MM extension that kicks in next season, and they seem to view him as a long-term building block.
from hoopsrumors. would be aweomse if we could net him, but i surely expect nilo will be back in nuggetville
