I'm happy to discuss Monroe's trade value... but trading him is a completely different story!
Drummond and Monroe are the foundation of what could become a quality team... why split them up?

I'm ok discussing a Monroe trade too but your fa signings are awful. No backup should make more than 2 mil a season.

I think a lot of people are exploring Monroe trade ideas because:
1) He'll get us the most via trade, and
2) He can be replaced the easiest of our three youngsters (BK, Moose, Dre). Either in the draft (Bennett at #7) or free Agency (Josh Smith, Jefferson, Milsap, etc).
But like others have stated, talking about trading him and actually doing so are way different.

Since I see you're not familiar with the National Basketball Association, here's a list of decent bench players that make $2m or less and aren't on rookie or amnesty deals:
Reggie Evans
Nate Robinson
Branden wright
D Fisher
Matt Barnes
Chris Anderson
Kenyon Martin
Ronnie Brewer
Alan Anderson
Martell Webster
You could argue a few more guys belong on this list-- Brian Roberts, Bellinelli, Jamison-- but the other 240 or so guys in the NBA that play more than a few minutes per night and aren't terrible either make more than $2m or are on rookie deals. If you find a useful player for less than $2m, you're usually extremely lucky or else there's some weird back story involved (like with Birdman or KMart). For an above average back up, the average vet salary is probably $6m or so.
