Bulls send:
Kwame Brown - $2,945,901
1 Million Cash
2015 CHI 2nd (unprotected)

Gain a roster space, a 2nd and some cash for two players who will never see the court on our team.

Not in the original post, but the deal works financially because it's within 100k, let alone the 125% rule. Also edited the trade number, this is trade #50.

Chicago accepts. Kwame would never see the court for my team. Giving up minimal assets to shed 3mil in salary (or gain 3m worth of UNG contracts?), easy decision.

Phantoms and Grizzlies:

Phantoms out / Grizzlies in:
Andrew Nicholson - 1,482,000
E'twaun Moore - 884,293
2014 Denver first returned

Denver out / Orlando in:
Avery Bradley - 2,511,432

Why?
We like Bradley. He Rondo went down, he killed PG's all over the league.

Sucks to see Bradley leave but with him needing a new contract next year and Shabazz in town he was expandable. Plus i needed my pick back and Nicholson has showed a lot of promise. Good dealing.

We agree. Jennings is a great young PG and Martin gives us some very nice wing depth. Good dealing, King.

NY out / Orlando in:
J.R. Smith - 7b amnesty - $1,500,000

Orlando out / NY in:
Nicola Vucevic - $1,793,520

NY can take back up to 125% of outgoing salary, or $1,875,000 > 1,793,520

NY accepts. Ness obviously can't get his hands on a decent player any other way, so we figured we'd send him a gift. Also we need a center.

What did we need more? A goo young rebounder center that we already have 3 of, or the 6th man of the year, at 1.5 mil per back up an old legend? I win and I accept.

Lakers send:
Moe Harkless - $1,809,840
Metta World Peace - $7,727,280
total: $9,537,120

Raptors send:
Brandon Knight - $2,793,960
Landry Fields - $6,250,000
total: $9,043,960

Lakers do this for Brandon Knight. He could quite possibly become our starting PG of the future if he continues to develop into the player he has the potential to be. He had a good year this past season, and learning from Nash will only make him better. We sacrifice a bit of cap flexibility this season to take on an extra year of Landry Fields, but he falls in line with our 2015 free agent plan so it is a small sacrifice.

Harkless was 8/4 in limited minutes in his rookie year on great defense, and we dump Fields contract for an expiring.

HOU send:
Jeremy Lin 8,374,646
Tyson Chandler 14,100,538
HOU 2016 2nd
Total: $22,475,236

MIA sends:
mario chalmers 4,000,000
damian lillard 3,202,920
joel freeland $2,897,976
jordan hill $3,563,600
shane battier $3,270,000
victor claver $1,330,000

Total:$18,264,496

$18,264,496*1.25 +100,000 = $22,930,620 so money works. We owe MIA another min contract which will be posted in another trade. We do this to start a young core that can go together.

Its tough to see so many guys go but I needed a defensive anchor in the post and lin is a good shooter who can steal the ball once in a while and can handle the ball well. I gave up alot to get last years DPOY but oh well. Crazy deals happen all the time.

Spurs and OKC have reached a deal

Spurs Trade:
Brook Lopez $14,693,906
SAS 2017 1st

Total: $14,693,906

OKC Trade:
Ben Mclemore $4,763,760
Spencer Hawes $6,500,000
Perry Jones III $1,082,520
Nick Collison $2,585,668
DAL 2014 1st

Total: $10,631,948 x 150% = $15,947,922

We couldnt resist pairing Mclemore with Russell to form our backcourt for years to come. Were very high on Ben and view him as a cross between a young Ray Allen and Dominique Wilkins. We also like what Hawes brings as a big with his IQ and passing ability. PJII will also get minutes with us at backup SF, love Collinsons hustle + add a 1st in a deep draft. great deal

OKC accepts, brook is an all star and couldn't pass up this deal. Mclemore is nice but he's never played a game in the NBA and could be star or a bust there was too much risk. Good dealing ghost!

Trade #58 :

Denver sends:
$09,036,364 - Anderson Varejao
$02,626,473 - Eric Bledsoe
$00,884,293 - E'Twaan Moore

$12,547,130 - Total

Toronto sends:
$06,210,000 - Kyle Lowry
$04,600,000 - Linas Kleiza
$00,930,000 - Lance Stephenson

$11,740,000 - Total

Deal works.

Lowry + Stephenson is a nice backcourt to have. Varejao was very expendable.

Bledsoe is a physical specimen in the Westbrook mold, he can attack the basket and get to the line and he rebounds well for a guard. He is buried on the bench behind CP3, but I think he is an elite prospect. He will play minutes behind Lawson/DeRozan and his play will dictate his role on the team. Varejao is an elite rebounder/defender who fits nicely beside Monroe/Amir. 14/14 on the season.

Spurs and Denver have reached a deal

Spurs Trade:
Evan Turner $6,679,867
Spencer Hawes $6,600,000
Perry Jones lll $1,082,520
Boris Diaw 4,702,500
PHX 2014 1st
SAS 2014 2nd round pick

Total: $19,064,887

DEN Trade:
Pau Gasol $19,285,850
Trevor Mbakwe $50k

Total: $19,285,900

Pau needs a change of scenery and a summers rest to recooperate to his old form. We seen how he came out strong towards the latter half of the year avg 18/12 in April. As a Laker fan i know how good he is when he's healthy and not under the pressure of being dealt all year. He and LMA wil form a sweet frontcourt partnership. Good dealing denver

New York Knicks (need a new name ; )
and the
Orlando Phantoms agree again!

We literally have played in like 20 games together and this is very rare (third or fourth time only)

Knicks out / Phantoms in:

Shannon Brown - 3,500,000
(TPE worth 3,500,000 gained)

Phantoms out / Knicks in:

Nothing (absorbed his contract with the Ironic "Ryan Anderson" TPE worth about 4.5 mil)

Why?
We like Brown as our 5th guard, dude can still score in bunches, and plays good with Kobe.

NY accepts. Save a roster spot and some cash, continue our new policy of keeping Ness happy.
