Hiring a developmental coach, that doesn't exactly scream out, 'veteran FA on the way'.

Might they be going the trade LA for assets path and be going really young?

Thats a bit too over optimistic man given he has been working in the lesser leagues for a while. Hoping for improvement in defense but wont expect us to be known for it around the league

A key ingredient to a good coaching staff is staff members.

I think you're reading far too much into the hiring of an assistant coach.

Where did you get the impression that I'm optimistic about Tibbetts have better defensive schemes? I'm just hoping that he can and hope there is information about there that says he can do that to give me something to smile about with this hire.

Nate Tibbetts said he doesn't consider himself a defensive or offensive coach, but he said he gravitates toward player development, which includes getting sweaty on the court.

"I'm still young and learning, and I like defense, and offense," Tibbetts said. "But there's not one side of the ball I'm better at or enjoy more."

Technically, neither hiring an offensive or defensive coach does align well with Stott's plan to have his entire staff focus on the game plan. With that said, a developmental coach--especially one that is supposedly a fast riser in the coaching world--likely doesn't commit unless the money is very good or he sees a lot of development in his future.
