Official Draft Lottery Thread: All In For Balls!

Post#1 » by DRK » Wed May 15, 2013 2:53 pm

Lets get this started!

Less than a week to go before The Day.

The Day that captivates us all.

The (Only) Day that these balls are more valuable than your own.

The Day that would gain the attention of many Suns fans worldwide.

The Day where the future of this franchise would be determined.

The Day that will be remembered as "The Day That Changed Our Franchise" when the player chosen at our pick leads us to the Promised Land.

Lets get the ball rolling!

Can we gather some fans in front of the place where the event happens and make them scream together "PICK MY BALLS! PICK MY BALLS! PICK MY BALLS!"?

If you think about it, this will be Stern's last chance to really screw us over before he retires. I wonder what he has planned......

Well the worst he can do to us is the seventh pick.

Never underestimate Stern. He'll figure something out.

Well I guess he could block some trades, but as far as the draft itself, seventh is the worst he can do. Well he could find out if a team behind us wants the same player we do, and make sure they pick before us. But that might be too much work for him to care about at this point. He knows he has already hurt us.

Anyone but Mark West.

He could encourage the trade of our first-round pick for a "medically cleared" Eric Gordon. Then our pick becomes a future Hall-of-Famer and Gordon plays 25 games over the next two seasons before retiring. Voila!

But that would require a moronic move by our new GM, not something Stern could initiate on his own.

Alright, I got one. We set up a trade to get another lotto pick, but the other team puts a top three pick protection. Stern hears about the trade and makes sure that pick ends up in the top three. :o

Stern already screwed us when he told the Refs to fix the remainder of the Lakers games to get them into the postseason, costing us another lotto pick and making it #30.

This coupled with allowing three other teams to jump us in the lotto giving us the 7th pick, and I think he will be pretty content with that.

He might surprise us all and may want to "try" and make up for all the crap he's done to our franchise and give us the #1 or #2 pick :D

Us tankers have been lusting after balls all season long, let's see if our ball-thirst will be quenched! I'm hopeful we're thoroughly satisfied after the balls come to a rest.

As a side note. I played the ESPN Mock Draft lottery about 15 times in a row. The Suns got the #1 pick 12 times out of those 15...I know it's a computer simulation but dang I got excited.

http://espn.go.com/nba/lottery2013/mockdraft have fun!

^I would give both my nuts for Wiggins. Who needs children when you can win championships? And that way I can save money too by not having to pay for a child's expenses and instead be able to afford court side season tickets to watch my team dominate the league :D
