Ned, you forgot my man Charles Smith, the guy that got me to change my number from 44 to 54! I had to retire 44 after Hank gathers died so I went with the number my favorite Clipper wore!

*donald sterling purchased louise lesser's tower and renames it sterling tower, then started to claim that indeed it was always his own design from the beginning, not louise lessers. (lesser is a famous LA based architect)
*has been advertising in LA times since late 90s about his homeless shelter for more than a decade, never built the shelter but later developed a high priced condo and still advertised about homeless shelter project on that property address even as he was breaking the ground for the condos.
*holds the current world record for the highest out of court settlement for racist/racial discrimination lawsuits for repeatedly telling his property managers in business meetings not to rent out to "blacks and latinos because they don't work and make apartment smell" even though vast number of his rental properties are in working class neighborhoods where there are high concentration of blacks and latinos.
*bought the clipper franchise from irv levin, another slimeball who swapped his celtics franchise with braves so he can relocate the team to westcoast(he feared moving celtics out of boston would get him killed, so he swaps their roster and contracts minus a few star players and takes advantage of smaller market braves///also means we are closer to the original celtics than today's boston celtics, or should i say, boston braves?) after making public promises never to move clippers out of SanDiego during the purchase and even after buying the team, then moves the team out of San Diego
*gets caught for having prostitutes accompany him after social functions while his pants down and getting a blowjob in an elevator
*brings in his "girl friends" to clipper lockeroom to watch players shower and makes a remark "look at those gorgeous bodies"
*when confronted by media about his misbehaviors, he makes now infamous phrase "but, I'm a flowery man"
*but the #1 reason why i personally hate this ****, is because when i was a young man and a devoted clipper fan who drove up to the **** called LA memorial sports arena we've had guys like danny manning, ron harper, doc rivers, ken norman, loy vought, olden polynice, ike austin, rodney rodgers, etc etc, a team with talents but he stuck these guys in the cheapest arena in the country at the time in LA sports arena where WWE didn't want to run a venue, practiced at local city college gyms and later a fitness club's gym where they'll be playing next to some average joes who are paying members of the club shooting hoops while practicing, never offered anyone a decent contract when their rookie deals expired other than trying to match other teams offers on RFAs, made so much money on revenue sharing while sports arena would have maybe a few hundreds of fans in an empty arena by absolutely not paying anyone anything to a point where david stern had to introduce minimum salary requirements, all the while boasting that he is the only man in NBA never not to profit.
i'm sure i can go on and on about this scumbag, but who has the time? i remember laughing while reading his full page ads in LAtimes as a kid about how he, can help you sell your old jewleries, old bond, stocks of your dead spouse, you name it he will buy em off of you at a generous cost. he was a pawnman without a pawnshop, what a **** savage he is. all these from being cal state LA graduate from the 50s when all you ever have to do to get in and get a degree was to pay your tuition, a graduate of southwestern law school in the early 60s(has anyone even have heard of this loser school? old friends who went to UC hastings law school and i have had this conversation, and according to a law student from 15 years ago said he was not familiar of it either)
as much as i dislike the lakers, at least their dead owner was a truly educated man, who used to teach chemistry at USC.
the malone they are talking about is mike, GS assistant, not moses or karl, HOF players.
Wow,if what you said is true than this guy is an idiot (no swearing).but you never know maybe the things you heard weren\t true. But if they were how and when will this guy leave this franchise?

im not all that high on byron scott either. he would be better than vdn, but the other name mentioned was nate mcmillan. he used to be portlands head coach.
http://www.basketball-reference.com/coa ... na01c.html
hes had some good seasons, but nothing overly impressive there either imo.

So who would be the ideal coach to get.
1.CP3 likes
2.African-american (can we just say black because that shouldn't be considered rasict)
3.knows the X's and O's (something vinny didn't)
4.Can manage minutes
How about the Hornets HC (can't remember his name)
did he and CP3 leave on bad terms.
And is he a good coach in general

god man you can really bring up some nostalgia... RIP to hank gathers. that's the guy we should have drafted over bo kimble. if hank was alive and healthy, he could have been the blake for this franchise more than 20 years ago...
i used to love charles smith, until he moved on to the knicks and got totally stumped in playoffs, getting 3 blocks against him in 1 play then disappeared. still, he was a great up and coming player for us from... pittsburg? maybe i'm wrong there but i wanna say he came out of pitt.
BTW just listening to the charles in charge theme song, there is something very creepy about a guy who nannys for two teen girls living in their basement...
ehhhhh f it.

Im sure that african american coach reference was regarding to byron scott, and not the point guard killer also known as nate mcmillan. nate ruined jamal's game in their only season together in portland, ran raymond felton out of town as well. no reason what so ever to be looking into nate's direction... ever.

I dunno why but seriously Neddy you sound very...right in a way no matter what you say
I\m really pissed off now,the only choice we have to get CP3 to stay (improve chances anyway) Is a coach I don't like

I saw in another thread you asking how someone can be a long time fan of DJ when they have been a fan of the team for about a year. Made me wonder... how many of the guys on this board weren't even alive when you are I were going to games at the Sports Arena? (Things you wonder when you are weeks from turning 40!)

seriously tho, LA sports arena was no place for NBA, remember the rats? at least i have such a fond memories from the days when we were trying to resign ike austin and they were handing out buttons saying "i like ike", or stanley roberts dunking on hakeem in that playoff series under larry brown......

i think the FO is truly trying their best to oust vinny, but DTS is resisting the changes. we'll see what happens there, but regardless, CP3 is coming back and that's what is most important.

i'll do a lot of things bro....but rats are not one of them.
if a rat walks into my apartment right now, it can have the lease, my bed....etc. etc.
I'm out the way.

Re: Coaching Search Thread
I think that we have to appraoch this offseason with something in mind. There arent any top tier coaches available like George Karl, Greg Popovich, Rick Adelman, or PHil Jackson (Phil wants to control way too much). The ones available, like SVG, Byron Scott, and Jerry Sloan are arguably a step below the elites i mentioned, but thats what we have to work with. We just need to hire a coach that provides any improvement over Vinny, and to me that guy is SVG. If possible we should only commit to a year or two, that doesnt put us in a long term commitment with a coach and will allow us to get one of the top tier coaches if they become available later on.
Return to Los Angeles Clippers
