The officiating. Not just the Raptors but for the entire league...*spits on ground*
If the league wants to maintain some sort of credibility they really neeed a major shake up in that area. I know tons of people that dont even like basketball complaining about the refs being able to dictate the outcome of a game.

I think the DD extension will be seen as a good contract by next season. ( fingers crossed )
We'll see, but it's more the timing that pisses me off than anything, It just wasn't necessary at the time.
So let's say we don't extend DeMar and he finishes the season the same way he did.
Looking around at the sad crop of young SGs in the league, and even more importantly what's available from that sad crop this offseason, you don't think a team is going to offer a 23 year old more than 8-9 mil per over the next few years?
I'm well aware of DeMar's limitations, but I refuse to acknowledge that it's that bad of a deal given the current situation this league is in at his position.

- DeRozan extension
- Rudy Gay trade
- Fields contract
- Reaching for Ross
- Excuses for why Bargnani is sucking
- Trading draft pick
- Not continuing rebuilding process the right way
- Watching Nash and thinking "this is the guy the organization planned their entire offseason around"
- Watching the GM further cripple this team in desperate attempt to save his job
...basically everything Bryan Colangelo did.

Exactly. I'm sure 3-4 teams would pay 10M per for a top 20 scorer + potential.

It didn't make sense to me because we drafted Ross, so what's the point in extending DD? He had more value (at the time) with him being a RFA and could have been used in a trade while saving cap space for a more useful player at another position.

Gotta be Aaron Gray. This dude is just horrible because there are not much traditional centre in the league anymore hence Gray's value is pretty low...unless you love to put him to double on Kobe.

Casey was the guy I found myself yelling at during the game most of the time. His rotations are atrocious.

i've been having bargs rage all season, when he steps on the court, its like we playing 4 on 5. The bargs regime must end and all those responsible for him. not only he played no D, he shoot super poorly.

It's easy to sit back and type this in hindsight, but you don't let a kid who you invested in become a RFA if you're expecting him to have a career year when he's in one of the weakest positions in the league. It simply doesn't make sense.
Colangelo is NOT the only GM who would have done this, I think you really need to add some context here when you're looking at the deal.
BC has **** up dozens of times as our GM, DeMar's extension was not one of those times. The idea, at the time, was for Ross and DeMar to eventually play together. I think BC realized that wasn't exactly plausible and then went and made the Rudy deal.
Again, more patchwork, but as far as this relates to DeMar's extension...not a bad move.

Casey and his stupid rotations.
PG: John Lucas
SG: Kyle Lowry
SF: Jose Calderon
PF: Alan Anderson
Cc: Aaron Gray
I swear he did this at one point this season.

Replace one player and you're correct.
Also, this would have occured at the start of the 4th quarter...in a close game (this didn't last).

Small Ball
Edit: PS I think the next SOTD should show some stats of how we played when we had 2 PG's in the lineup.

Casey had Lucas, AA, Demar, Bargnani and Gray all out there as a lineup at one point during a game. It was terrible to watch.

1. This board. I keep expecting reasonable and well-thought out discussion but mostly, all you get is repetitive whining and unrelenting circle-jerk. But I keep coming back, so it's my fault as much as anyone else's.
2. The hate for AA. He cost us fewer games than Lowry and Casey each did individually but was/is ragged on incessantly when I thought he was one of the better bench players we've had in awhile. He actually helped us win some solid victories post-Andrea/prior Gay trade. Thereafter, however he lost his role and did force his game a bit too much trying to find it.
3. NBA and their moronic apologies, to not only our team, but others as well. Unforgivable.
4. Poor execution of simply making an Out-of-Bounds play. Like seriously, how is that an issue on MULTIPLE occasions with an NBA team?
5. All things Bargs. That goes without saying, but it includes BC and DC for not finding his role throughout their tenures here, which is a 15mpg, 6th man, force-fed possessions in the mid to low post. Nothing more, nothing less until proven otherwise. His defense is abominable and makes him a liability when he isn't bringing anything else to the table.
