You can get calories from plenty of other sources. The levels of Potassium in almond milk would not thicken your erythrocytes. You would need to be taking massive amounts of potassium for that to happen.
Too much of anything can kill you. You can die from drinking too much water.

Potassium doesn't thicken your blood, that's Vitamin K. As far as clotting goes, it does have an effect. Too high or too low can inhibit clotting I believe. Good news is potassium is one of the very highly regulated substances in your body and unless you have a kidney issue you shouldn't need to worry about having too much... just worry about not getting enough.

Plus it plays a roll in helping balance out high sodium intake which most of us have.

Cow milk has hormones, but you can easily buy the organic and shouldn't be a problem.
