Based on the contract alone I would trade him for Bargnani. My hope is that we can get better for AB, but Harrington is not a bad scorer.

The Magic will allow Al Harrington to work out for other teams in early June.
Orlando has granted the veteran permission because he's just not in their future plans. he has two years left on his deal for approximately $15 million, but only half of his salary each season is guaranteed. The Magic will attempt to trade him during the offseason. May 16 - 9:41 AM

Can he be the next david west, bringing veteren presence to a team like the raptors.

Lol, al Harrington is not even close to as good as david west.
He's like an older shorter version of Bargs.

I'd toss them bargs aka our garbage. he's better than him and him being out coincided with orlando's struggles. bargnani being out for us = better team. he's useless to the raptors

Orlando says yes, since Bargs would be their tank commander.

That 2nd rounder must be worth a lot.

Yea, no... Boris already has grey hair.. he's not going to anything for any NBA team. He's with the Spurs because of Tony Parker and the French Connection (no pun intended).

Kyle Korver, but he said he wants to go to a contender. We should have traded bustnani during his 13 game streak.

JJ Red.dick

Somebody shoot me down saying we cant afford him but i think he is exactly what we need to pair him up with guys like lowry, dd and rudy to compensate for their lack of range. He can be what jason kapono was supposed to be for us.

That is all, discuss or lock.

Yes please!

I think there will be many suitors for him, though.

How about trading Ross for Shabbazz

Post#1097 » by Saciid11 » Fri May 17, 2013 6:15 pm

How trading Ross + filler for pick between #8-13 to pickup Shabbazz who is this years Drummond and Barnes Harrison...

I still think Shabbazz is this years best prospect and the only prospect who can change the look of franchise, not in the way of Lebron, Kobe, Wade, Durant, but I think he can be solid all star like Harden or to some extent like Jerry Stackhouse who lead the league in points the season he was go to guy... The concern people have of Shabbazz is almost the same concern they had of Drummond and Barnes, except for the age which had allot to do with his father and not Shabbazz who informed everybody including his coach and his teammates of his age..

Other concerns

He is too selfish... This can be applied to every scorer in the league ... Melo, Kobe, Iverson and even Micheal Jordan...

He doesn't have the lateral quickness to play the shooting guard ... They said the same thing about Harden, hell Micheal Redd who was less Athletic and had worse lateral quickness to play the two guard, played the two guard and was all star in NBA...

He is too small to play the small forward... at 6'6 225pound with long reach 6'11 ...I don't think that is to small to play the small forward, besides if 6'5 200 pound Sprewell can play the small forward position for over decade, I'm pretty sure Shabbazz can do the same... Besides I think reach and strength are more important then 1 or 2 inch when comes to defending position..

He is one dimensional... Look at all the recent UCLA players except for Affalalo who was a senior and Love... Jrue Holiday had much worse freshman year under Ben, Westbrook wasn't even used as point in UCLA and had much worse freshman year then Shabbazz... Both Jrue and Westbrook are today ten times better pros then they were in college... If Muhammad went to UK and didn't have the suspension and injury he had the start of the season, he would probably have been the #1 in this years draft...

He can't handle the rock ... Nobody questioned Shabbazz ability to handle ball coming out of highschool, it's his ability to make long range shoots( 3's ) scouts questioned. Coming out of highschool and coming out of College Vince Carter couldn't handle the ball, but two years in the league he was run the point for the Raps in limited minutes ... I'm pretty confident Shabbazz has better ball skills then VC coming out of college.

I 150% agree that Shaz will be the steal of the draft, I trade Ross in a heartbeat. I could see portland interested...

DD + Ross for Mathews plus Shaz???

Andrea for Hawes + 11th overall draft CJ McCollum

Amnesty Kleiza sign Carl Landry

Lowry - McCollum
Shabazz - Mathews
Gay - Fields
Amir - Landry
JV - Hawes

Beasley/Frye/Shabazz.
