Which NBA Team has the Best Home Fans? And Who has the Worst

For the 2013 regular season, we find that the New York Knicks have the top ranked fan base. The Knicks are followed by Chicago, Boston, Portland and Dallas. Of these, Portland is probably the most interesting case. A quick look at attendance data from ESPN shows that the Trail Blazers regularly exceed capacity for entire seasons. Portland is a small market, but a market with passionate and supportive fans. Portland also likely does well because they are the only “pro” game in town.

From a Heart and Pride stand point i'd say the best fan bases are ( in no order)

Thunder
Knicks
Warriors
Celtics
Bulls
Portland

Golden State #1 easily

worst is Miami. Hands down. They barely knew they had a team until Lebron came there. I have never, EVER seen a "proud Heat fan" prior to 2010. All of a sudden, now you have a bunch of Lebron dickriders wearing Heat gear. They were probably Laker fans a few years before that.

IMO Kings have some of the best fans. Cowbells were awesome. I miss Pollard and the rick adelman kings. Those fans deserve a ring. They should sell the team, trade Cousins for Horford and make a team to root for.

fair weather doesn't happen in NY sports. well, maybe it does, but it's not the majority. NY has (across the board/all sports) the most loyal and smartest fans.
