Brapman wrote:I'm as big a Drummond supporter as there is on this board. But, I'm not clear why anyone would diss Noah. That guy is a great NBA center. Super athletic, tall, strong, great great defender, great passer - o.k. as a scorer. It's entirely possible that Drummond could eventually be better - I sure hope that's the case. But right now, Noah's a star in this league and far ahead of Andre.

Now, that said, Drummond isn't even 20 years old yet. In 8 years, it's astounding how great he could be. We're talking all-time great, top 10 centers of all-time, potential here.

I don't know if anyone is really disrespecting Noah. It was simply the idea that Detroit would want to submit a king's ransom for a win-now player, while Detroit is years away from even potentially being something of a post-season regular.

Definitely no. Drummond has a chance of being dominant.

Congratulations chicago board, for the worst proposed trade in realgm history.

They want Stuckey, ok. But Drummonnd AND 2 draft picks? LOL

As if we would be the ones who need to sweeten the deal. Noah is a good player, but we really shouldn't trade Dre for anything other than a proven superstar...because that's the potential he has.

I wouldn't do this without the picks. Noah is great, and definitely a guy you can win with but not a cornerstone. Looks at his averages against the centerless Heat.
Count that baby and a foul!

No disrespect to Noah at all. He's one of the better centers in the league. But not only does Drummond have the potential to be better (and I think he will be), but he's locked into a rookie contract.

I have tremendous faith in Drummond. To me, Dwight is his floor. I realize that is a ridiculous statement to make...but I believe it. I think he's *that* good. There are only 1 or 2 players in the entire league I'd consider trading him for.

If I'm wrong, I'm wrong. Wouldn't be the first time. But I can't wait to find out.

Not really a crazy statement at all, barring injury his size will allow him to easily become as dominant defensively.

Offensively Dwight has 2 moves & hes 27, ill go out on a limb & say Drummond will likely have more than 2 moves in 8 years with his work ethic.

yea, bad trade for Detroit. Maybe even a dumb trade for Chicago (although the 2 1st's easily make them win it.)
