We dont overrate JJ, he d be a great locker guys, our young guys kept mentioning JJ as the guy that they learnt the more from

With a contract front loaded, he wouldnt affect much our cap situation and he could be a great 6th man

Trey,moe,harris,bbd,vuc and JJ from the bench

JJ has great work ethic and he loves Being in Orlando

Yes, he is overrated here. Has been since day one.

I am not saying any of the other above statement aren't true, but the young guys also said they learned from AA specifically as well. You don't think the FO knew the cap situation before they traded JJ? JJ's the only player with a great work ethic? Ok.

JJ lost quite a bit of money with that trade. He was by no means awful but he didn't do much in many games. Throw in the fact that Milwaukee was worse with him than without, and I can't see him getting $7 mil per in today's NBA. He will get no more than $5 mil per, if that.

JJ is worth more here in terms of making money for a franchise in the form of ticket and merchandise because of his tenure and tough play with the organization. He would be a great 6th man and he still has 5-6 more productive years in him to be our long term answer as a 6th man. He plays tough, hits big shots, passes very well and is a great teammate and locker room presence.

I reckon Reddick would like a raise, but how much would the Magic be willing to pay for a swing man backup SG. Would you pay $7 or even 6.5 mil per? I probably would, but as a business man, it would be tough.

Completely agree with this.

TBH, don't really think JJ brings a ton to the team at the point we are at, especially not at the price other teams are willing to pay.

No. Only if the team that acquires him waived him right away. Or maybe it might also include trading him back to us within a year. But since he is an unrestricted FA, we can def sign him if we would like to.

I would take JJ back, nostalgia might be a part of it, but like many I would trade AA IF the RIGHT package came up and offer JJ something like

year 1:10M
year 2: 8M
year 3: 6M
year 4: 4M (team option)

I'm not sure of our cap situation, I know we have a floor to meet, it gets us JJ, who will mentor the young guys, fan favourite back and the team option year 4 will make him a trade assist at the deadline 2015 and 2016

JJ is worth no more than MLE and that's for contender, while I'd sign him at 3/15 if we can deal AA. However, someone will overpay and JJ will get something like 3/25 which is lunacy.

That's the best question to ask. It's rare that someone would want to comeback to a team while they are in rebuilding mode to help out the young and upcoming players. It's commendable of Redick to want to do this, but it's better that Redick plays for a better team with a goal to pursue a championship.

Some of these contracts you guys throwing around for JJ is redickulous, especially for a rebuilding team in needs of capspace within the next 2-3 years.
