The latest offseason plan

Post#1 » by The Penguin » Sun May 19, 2013 12:53 am

Amnesty CV31

Trade 1: Monroe , Knight & Jerebko for Wall, Nene & Ariza

Wizards get a young big to pair with Beal and save a very large amount of cash.

Trade 2: 2 2nds, cash, Kim English for a late 1st

Draft: Shabazz & a big (Dieng/Whithey type)

FA: Sign Tony Allen

Wall/Stuckey
Allen/Shabazz
Ariza/Singler/Middleton
Nene
Drummond/Rookie

No. This is just terrible.
Lol at that starting lineup, not a single shooter in the lineup! Tony Allen is a terrible shooter, Ariza isn't very good, and Wall is a bad shooter(although he was better towards the end of the season.)
Nene was injured off and on all season.
That team doesn't win 20 games.

I just don't get where people think John Wall will be available? Washington will give him a max extension this summer, especially after his great second half of the season.

Also, Tony Allen is about 99.9% guaransheed to stay in Memphis (that's right, I pulled a guaransheed out!)

I look at what Memphis is doing, just punishing everyone in the playoffs. I want to give a real go of the Moose/Dre combo, hopefully with some competent wings around them.

Also, the time to amnesty Villanueva was two years ago. At this point he has value as an expiring contract.

I can see reasons to amnesty CV-DNP... if you can use the $8.5 mil in a better way

As for this "plan" - I don't think Wall is available.

IF I was running the Wizards I wouldn't be trading Wall or Beal at this point.
