Alan Hahn: It is possible to bring in Chris Paul

Post#1 » by poeman » Sun May 19, 2013 4:08 am

He said on Knicks postgame it is possible but it will be very difficult. They will need to move a big contract.

Not sure how Stat can be sent away, but the name that popped in my mind was Tyson.

How is this even possible?

Please let it go. Clippers would never accept a mixture of STAT/Tyson and Shumpert and whatever else we can offer.

No one is taking on Amare, his deal is the worst in the league.

Maybe Golden State still wants Tyson?

I'm not even sold a team would even take Melo in a salary dump, and if that happened, why trade for CP3?

Chris Paul isn't giving up 100 million dollars to come to NY for 3 years 9 mil.

Alan Hahn trying to work over the fans. I'm sure Dolan is paying him real well for this.

And its possible I poop Snickers bars.

This is just a weak and obvious media attempt to string fans along now that we're done for the season and they can't talk about the actual games.

If Melo and Amare sit Paul down and say 'Miami will win the next 5 rings if we dont' team up" CP3 might go the Clippers front office and demand a trade. Say he tells them "Trade me to the knicks or I will leave for nothing". Clips could get Shump, Chandler, Felton, Novak for CP3 and Deandre Jordan. A bad trade for the Clips but far better than nothing. Shump can be a starting 3 on a championship team. With Bledsoe and Griffin they can rebuild with a nice young trio.

OR Paul takes the extra money and retires in 10 years without a ring. It is his choice really.

Oh FFS....IT'S NOT HAPPENING!!

The Chris Paul train left the station when we amnestied Billups and signed "1st Team All Defense" Tyson Chandler. I hated that move then and I hate it even more now.

guys need to keep in mind CP3 is not only Melo's best friend, but he's a perennial 1st Round loser and you KNOW he's sick of it.

It's probably not going to happen, but what happens if those two convene over the summer and try to make it happen? Melo and CP3 want to play together, we all know they do. It's just a question of what he's willing to sacrifice if he wants to win.

This is why I'm not ruling it out even though the odds aren't great.
