Re: Around the NBA II
Sacramento COULD consider Chris Mullin for their GM spot.

Come on Mully get the job and hook us up like McHale did the Celtics. Tyreke in a dubs jersey 2013

If anything we will try to lure both Malone and Schlenk for the vacant spots of HC and GM!

SA up big vs, Memphis through 3Q.
This movie is like the Rocky Horror Picture Show where everyone knows all the lines.

It's funny, SA did exactly what they did against us and absolutely steamrolled Memphis. This series might say something about us.

I was thinking the same thing. The fact that we did so well against the Spurs made me think less of them, but now I'm wondering if I'm just still underestimating the W's.

Spurs are an outstandingly balanced team. They have so many of those coveted defense/3pt (in specific areas) specialists that they can throw out there that you kinda forget they're generally the 4th/5th option in the Spurs offense.
Tiago is no slouch as well - IMO they're the second best team in the NBA and I was surprised we didn't get throttled 4-1.

Yeah. The fact that we took them to 6, and were a few rim-outs away from 7 or possibly winning, says a lot about us. Another point of emphasis: Curry isn't likely to get shut down in a series again. He shot sub .400 frequently in the Spurs series, which reminds me a lot of how Durant and Russ shot in their first series against LAL. I bet Curry comes back next post-season and consistently puts in his usual dominant performances... in which case the series becomes very different.

Good point on Curry.
I'm the Denver series they tried to take him out and he started play making...when he does that FIRST... it opens him up for shots...so going forward he should use the playmaking more and also use the foul line, as in drawing fouls, to get him going and also he gets a breather by stopping the game.

Yup that's the two takeaways I had from the series, Splitter really impressed and it seems like they have a swarm of 6-7 defense/3-point specialists. Spurs front office is the best in the league IMHO. They do a great job of surrounding their aging big 3 with help.

I like Splitter...but offensively he's super liminited if Tony Parker isn't setting him up all game.
The Spurs must be feeling big time relief against the Griz knowing they don't have to extend to guard their back court....Having Duncan and Splitter guard Gasol and Randolph one on one.....This series could be a short one.

Re: Around the NBA II
Spurs had trouble with us, I think the Heat would crush them. The Heat play a similar system as us, with a transition-based offensive punch combined with set-based defense, only they're much better and much more consistent. Granted, they don't have a guy like Bogut who was big in the series, but I have a hard time believing San Antonio wins more than 2 games against Miami.
The Grizz will give the Heat a bigger challenge with their frontcourt, imo.

I think anyone would have had problems with us, including the Heat. We need to keep this thing together.

"The Clippers are believed to be interested in Lionel Hollins and Mike Malone."
oh crap. Either way is bad for us.

Why would Lionel leave the Grizzlies?
