The real decision the Jazz FO is making is between Continuity, Cap Flexibility, and Cash Considerations.

This isn't 1993. The salary cap, SLC, agents and common sense is very different these days. Jazz culture is also very different too.

Plus Nazr Mohammed? Wasn't he just drafted to be traded within minutes?

I like the fire WB plays with and he is a true leader IMO. We need one that is vocal and focused like him.

I think its a win win for both teams as we get WB and they get an up and coming stud center and Hayward to assume the 6th man role.

This is pretty much why I like it for both teams. There is no way OKC doesn't beat Memphis if they had Hayward and Kanter. Since Kanter's rookie deal expires the same as Perkins there is no need to add him to the deal to lower value for Utah. Same with Hayward and Williams. Both could be expired vet backups until their respective deals expired. The two lottery picks could also add further depth and be good trade assets for a follow up trade.

Utah currently is a rebuilding team. And all rebuilding teams need a leader and a true superstar if they are going to contend. Westbrook provides that and in this trade they wouldn't be taking on any bad salary at all.

Really think its a win- win for both teams.

if i remember correctly, he made it clear he didn't want to be drafted by the jazz and that he won't play for them. the jazz just chose to maximize their draft position, and drafted him anyway just to turn him to a future asset. he was the 29th pick, and the jazz got a 1st from the sixers, which was 19th the following year.

Did something happen to Kanter? Is it now a gender-less being? Some sort of 21st birthday celebration gone awry?
