Top youngest teams most likely to turn top contender?

There are quite a few very young teams who have good talent but which of top youngest teams do you see breaking through as a contender in the next few seasons?

Houston Rockets (if they acquire Dwight) and Golden State Warriors. If Bogut can maintain a role of an imposing big man who can anchor the defense and protect the rim, GS has the young, developing pieces in Curry, Thompson, and Barnes to be a difficult team to beat. I think their postseason run in 2013 is just a preview of good things to come for that franchise.

Utah Jazz have a shot. If the front court duo of Favors & Kanter work out, they are set for a long time.

Maybe not as a contender, but I do feel like the Wizards will make the playoffs next year. John Wall came on really strong at the end of the year and I like Bradley Beal. There is going to be some good rivalries with with the young #1 overall point guards in the East with Rose, Wall, and Irving.

houston and golden state no doubt.

houston if they get howard then trade asik ( because they are not compatible ) for a guy like ryan andersen to strech the floor. then maybe trade lin + picks ( if someone wants him ) for a better defensive pg to guard parker, westbrook, paul etc. in this time young guys like robinson and parsons need to develop and improve and howard needs to be healthy. sure...to many ifs but it's not imposible.

golden state needs to get rid of those old bad contracts like biedrins and get some experienced veterans.

Ha.

It's probably Warriors, Utah, Indy, and possibly Houston.

Detroit has a chance to be special with Drummond, Monroe and some lotto picks added.

Other than David West, George Hill is the oldest Pacer, at 27 years and 17 days. Pacers are already "contenders" by virtue of being in the ECF, even if Miami is heavily favored, but with improvement from George and Stephenson they could scratch the upper tier pretty soon.

Memphis's starting lineup is 28 years old (Gasol), almost 32 (ZBO), 33 years old (prince), and 31 years old (Allen). Their core isn't exactly young. Which isn't a big deal since they are already really good, but they aren't one of the younger NBA teams by a longshot.

You're right, I thought Marc was much younger for some reason.

I'm almost a closet Orlando fan at this point. If they add a guy like McLemore in the draft, the future is looking bright in the sunshine state. Especially after stealing Tobias Harris. McLemore/Harris/Harkless/Vucevic looks nice.

Took WAY TOO LONG for Orlando to be mentioned.

In two years, watch out. With a core of Harris/Vuc/Harkless (Top picks this and next year) and money to spend in 2014?

Come on. Detroit? lol.

This has the opportunity to either make Houston really good or an annual candidate for implosion. Howard's very talented, but he's nutty as a fruitcake with an ego that'd make Kobe's look small.

Has to be Golden State. Curry, Klay and Barnes are only getting better and if they can retain Jack, Landry and Rush they'll be a serious contender next year.
