Looks like Porter or Noel, depending on who Cleveland takes #1 (I don't see them taking McClemore).

I'm not mad, although drafting Noel scares the crap out of me...he's coming off an injury and he weighs a pitiful 206 lbs. He's going to need a ton of work to get him healthy and develop strength, and this franchise does not do a good job of developing big men.

I hope it's Porter.

I don't get the love for Porter. Outside of his defensive potential, I'm not sure why he's a good fit next to Beal and Wall. If Noel is gone, I think Bennette/Oladipo would be my choice.

Well I guess we can put the Olynyk vs. Zeller debates to rest :)

Oladipo is a 2 guard through and through. This may sound silly, but Beal is firmly entrenched in the 2 guard spot. You're taking Oladipo and basically have him come off the bench. A 3rd pick overall gets anywhere between $3.5 to $4.1 million per year his first two years. That is a really expensive bench guy.

With Porter, at least he has the potential to start in 2014. There's questions about Bennett, there's questions about everyone in this draft really, but Porter fits a need, is talented, and basically locks up the 3 spot for the next 10 years.
Bickerstaff: who's up for kickball?!!
Ed Wood: Only if it's the no-pants variety.

If Noel is on the board, you HAVE to take him. Bigs are too hard to find. You can always get cheap wings like Delfino, Rush, etc. for 1-2 million every off-season. You never get quality bigs.

If Noel is gone, I would explore trading down b/c Mclemore is the one guy teams would want to trade up for.

If the draft goes like this:

1) Cavs-Porter
2) Magic-Burke
3) Wiz-take Noel and run.

If the draft goes like this:
1) Cavs-Noel
2) Magic-Burke
3) Wiz??

I'd trade down. The Bobcats would LOVE to get Mclemore to pair next to MKG. I'd want the future Detroit 1st as trade compensation, otherwise I'd deal down to the Suns who would also LOVE to get Mclemore. For Phoenix, I'd want Gortat in exchange for Ves+Singleton. The Wiz could then take Porter at 5.

Honestly, I'm not that into Porter. I think he's a safe prospect, but I don't think he's a game changer. He reminds me of Tayshaun Prince.

If the right offer comes along. I wouldn't trade it unless it was really a strong offer though. Drafting 3rd gives us some options.

Porter.

Yeah he is like Tayshaun Prince. But i think his ceiling is higher. He has a better nose for offense than Prince.

Wall/Beal/Porter

3 young prospects who can grow together. They fit so well together.

edit: He just needs to pack on some muscle. Im sure an NBA training regimen will have him bulk up in no time. He is skinny but hes not a full blown ectomorph ala Prince or Durant. That frame has room for a few pounds of solid muscle.

Well, in fairness, we took Mike Pence off their hands. Taking back Mahinmi is the least they can do.

porter has good upside. Look how much he improved in just one year. Seems to be a pretty good fit at SF

And Porter is represented by a guy who publicly SLAMMED Wall. I hate David Faulk. I don't want him to get any pleasure. F him. I think Porter's OK, but he's NOT an elite athlete. IMO, he's Tayshaun Prince (a good 4th banana) on a winning team.

I think if Mclemore is on the board, we CAN trade the pick to a willing team b/c the Bobcats, Suns, and Hornets would ALL LOVE to get Mclemore.

I would rather Burke over Olipedo. Burke can play both point and 2 guard on offense, giving us a solid 3 guard rotation. That said, I'd rather Bennett or Porter over Burke.

One thing that excites me is that the #3 pick has a ton more value than the #8 pick. If the Wizards decide to move it, we could potentially get a big return.

Only person I would trade the pick for, assuming he's available is Kevin Love. And that's with Minnesota also taking Vesely and either one of Singleton/Booker/Seraphin off of our hands. Otherwise I'm keeping the pick and taking Porter.
