Unbelievable.... its not like the Wizards to have such luck....
Now just dont balls the pick up or trade it, EG.

Well, in fairness, we took Mike Pence off their hands. Taking back Mahinmi is the least they can do.

Re: 2013 NBA Draft Lottery Thread
Noel is actually a very good fit for Cleveland. He doesn't have to contribute right away, and they can still participate in the lottery sweepstakes next year. I think they pick Noel.
Orlando's a tough call...they really don't need McClemore. My guess, they pick Burke.
Happy with our choices at 3. Otto Porter for me. I wasn't impressed with Anthony Bennett's interview but wouldn't complain if we drafted him.
Pray EG doesn't fixate on Len or Zeller.

Ha! What did I tell you?! EIGHTY-EIGHT MILES PER HOUR!!! The temporal displacement occurred exactly 8:42 PM and zero seconds!
Ok, seriously, I didn't tell anyone squat. I am moar stun than anyone.
Props to the plucky optimists who said we were getting the third pick.
Note to self: lose the coin flip. Lose it always and no matter the odds.

Re: 2013 NBA Draft Lottery Thread
Had a feeling it was going to be the #3. And that we were going Otto Porter. Which I am not all that excited about- was secretly hoping we'd stay at 8 or 9 and get one of the big men (Len, Adams, Zeller).
Just like last year I was not all that keen on Beal and was hoping we'd get Drummond instead. So what do I know?
I saw only 2 games of Otto last year- probably his best one against Syracuse in the Carrier Dome, and his worst one- the debacle against FGCU. Unfortunately that last one left a really bad taste- the whole team just flat out stunk it up.

I would not trade the 2014 pick at all.
I'm comfortable sitting at 3 and taking BPA.

Otto Porter will be a fine pick, but I think Oladipo is better.
My one fear is Len ends up the pick and disappoints.
I think a creative scenario would be to draft and swap for multiple picks. McLemore or Oladipo or Burke could be drafted and swapped for Len or Porter or Olynyk plus a pick.

But how does Olapido get on the court? He's a SG, same as Beal. This relegates one of our best players to the bench.

I think Oladipo has as much or more upside than Beal . Porter is a clear good fit but Oladipo seems like a future all star to me.
Draft and trade Oladipo for Porter plus a pick.

Olapido may be. Then again, I think Bennett might as well. He's where I'm at right now.

Just got home...am I the only person on this board that loves coin flips?
Quick question, and not saying that I think he all end up the best player from this draft, but is there anyway Noels falls to three?

Only way he falls is if his knees don't check out.
Bickerstaff: who's up for kickball?!!
Ed Wood: Only if it's the no-pants variety.

Noel weighs barely more than a supermodel at this point. I am really not psyched about the guy.

Someone talk me out of Porter. Statistically seems great, but doesn't really pass the eye test for me.

Re: 2013 NBA Draft Lottery Thread
I like Oladipo because I'm sure his workouts will be off the charts, but not at the 3 at 6-foot-4. Porter fits the mold better even if he doesn't have that off the chart athletic ability. A lot of teams want to trade down. I'd take Porter or Bennett and have no problem with either. If you can trade down 1 or 2 to get them, if somebody wants McLemore, Burke, Noel or somebody else at the 3, fine. But let's not trade out of the top 10 and draft a big stiff who may not be ready in 3 years. We need somebody who can play right away and that's not Len, may never be Zeller.
