Re: Team hypotheticals with and without Dwight
Cmon, did it have to take the whole freaking season to find out Pau was effective in the damn post? Did it have to take an entire season to find out that Nash being ball dominant wouldn't work? Was he that much of a pansy to tell Kobe that he wasn't going to play the entire 48 minutes? Mike D isn't the right coach for Dwight or even for this team. It doesn't take a rocket scientist to figure that out.

Re: Team hypotheticals with and without Dwight
and what would the right coach for d12 look like?
i just find it funny cause MDA basically tried to please d12 the entire 1st half of the season. 2nd most post touches in the nba despite kobe being the best post scorer. tried to give him the space he needed to operate at pau's expense. tried to get him to play pnr with nash since d12 had had success running it. all this at the expense of the team's best interest.

What was the teams best interest you speak of?

I think he said in his exit interview that he was brought in with the idea of implementing his system with Nash & D12 pick and roll as the main weapon on offense and he continued to mold the others into it. Once it failed and everyone basically threw their toys out, he settle for the Kobe-centric offense.

Re: Team hypotheticals with and without Dwight
So putting Pau Gasol at the 3 point line is a good idea right? Anyone with a brain would think putting him into the post would make this offense potent. But of course he was benched, BENCHED for Clark smh...the more I think about this situation the more I want this idiotic clown of a coach gone from LA. At least Mike Brown coached defense, Mike can't even coach offense right.

those moves were to benefit d12. he's the one that needs a pf to stretch the floor to the 3pt line to allow him the necessary space to operate.

Mike can't even coach offense right? Serious? I know people dislike him but c'mon. If anything its his defensive mentality. People forget that he was the coach of the year back in 2005. Remember when he went 62-20? Yeah. Not many coaches have done that. I agree with Jerry West and Phil Jackson - Lakers management hired him for his style, but his style does not suit the personell. Either change the personell, change the style (which he attempted) or change the coach.

They need two of those guys, specifically Devin Harris and Dorell Wright.

Who takes the class clown seriously?
As Kobe? Okay, 5 rings, captain stripes.same argument can be made about Pau when he puts his strap on, on.
As Nash? Its BS, he's done more in the league than Nash. He's been a conference champ, dpoy, and won gold. He should have equal weight if not more than Nash because he's done more when it come to winning, is younger, is better, and Nsh only outranked him because of Dantoni. Lets be real Dantoni was only hired and the tried for ssol to be implemented because those two shmcuks reunited and not in the grand fashion Kobe and Phil did, as Dantoni reunited with a shell of a player.
Dwight should use his leverage, get Pringles fired. Don't waste his prime years trying to get him to get how to win games and winning in spite of him, like Shaq and Kobe with Harris

He was also the lone team in the league pulling the super small ****. The closest thing was NJ with the Kidd and Kenyon days, whose team were better but relied on D over chucking 3s and zones all damn day. The league as a whole changed, roster makeups change, what he does now is common place which makes it less exploitable. Its why him not posting up is so stupid, and it isn't just here, Melos whole bitch fest about his coaching was he didn't want Melo (one of the three best post up guys) on the damn block because it slowed the game and ball movement down, much like how he didnt post Kobe and Pau

Dwight was fine to close the year with Pau in the pinch post, Kobe operating the ball, no Nash period, and himself planted 2 feet in the paint like Horace ... Its what made the Phil wasnt a fit think laughable to anyone who has seen all his title teams
