Not possible. He's just a scrub - can't even dominate in Europe.

If he were in this draft, how high would he go. Would you trade him for a top 5 pick? No way i would.

In this draft Mirotic would likely go 2nd given how many teams fall in love with Noel's possible defensive impact.

That's not necessarily a compliment to Mirotic though, since this draft doesn't project to be that strong.

But still. He's just terrific.

And don't forget that he now can't shoot anymore.

12 and 5 - in 23 minutes a game (20 & 8 per36). Players don't play Deng type minutes over there.

FWIW - Mirotic got robbed of the rising star award by Papanikolaou - shouldn't have even been close, but somehow voters gave Webster's foster dad the slight edge and win.. Not sure if there was any discussion of it in the Mirotic thread.

Probably Lebron, MJ syndrome. Wanting to give it to someone else.

He had already won it twice as the first one ever. Now, it seems, was time to give him the award instead.

Ussually it wouldn't, but this season there was not a clear cut best player and Niko was statistically the most productive player in the best team so kind of like an MVP by default.
If you want to try to measure the elements of basketball that are supposedly unmeasurable, spend a game just watching Marc Gasol.

I wouldn't think of trading this guy, unless it lands us an elite player. I can't wait to see what he adds to the team.

He's now the first 2 time rising star recipient and the youngest MVP.

Nothing I've seen makes me think he'll be anything more than a backup stretch 4. Not a rising star trophy, another rising star trophy, averaging 27/10 in the U20 tourney, and an ACB MVP at the age of 22. He sucks. He's European, and sucky.

I think he's in the top 5 conversation. I would still prefer Noel, Oladipo, McLemore, Porter, and Zeller. But not by much.
