I was hoping for either a top 5 pick or a bottom 5. I'm good and ready to go.

I thought about creating this because I want to keep the draft order and judging and selection threat clean.

Let this thread be up to talk trade, or complain about your pick (moocow)

Son of a hoot-n-nanny. KF20 really want to make it difficult for me I see. But then again I think I was in a similiar situation before (in the 20's) and did pretty good.

Love the back to back picks...hate that Moo will be picking in front of me.

Anyone read my playoff style judging suggestion in the other thread that just got locked?

Also...looking to move my 3rd and 4th (back to back) to get into the early 2nd round.

In regards to the judging, I always felt that in the past, the win-now teams were favored by the judging system more than the future/potential teams. So hopefully we can fix that in this one.

i disagree. the goal is to win a championship. i think win-now should be favored more than anything.

i thought it was a joke (and embarrassing) for the teams that went for all players that are under 22 years old.

yeah you technically have a nice win-future team because you have a lot of young talent. but if you get 6 guys that are all under 22 and on rookie contracts, when you look for a championship (in 6 years or so), you're not going to have the supposed salary cap room to technically sign all those guys.

i think win-now should be held higher than win-future

i had a top 5 team when i had the #4 pick, and a top 5 team when i had the #27 pick.

i'll do well with #24 also. i was hoping to be somewhere in the middle because i've never had that chance before

if anyone with the picks of 12-18 that want to swap all picks, let me know.

Knicksfan20...I hope you are not going to be the only judge. No offense, but if there is anything we have come to learn about these BAT's is that everyone values different things in different players. Some just piece together talent and don't take chemistry or cap into consideration.

Just saying there should be a solid judging system in place.

My suggestion is you are the sole judge who is responsible to conduct polls from the different boards. I dunno?

I do think it should be a playoff style ranking. Maybe break it down further to each division first, then top 6-8 in each conference. And set upa playoff bracket with polls based on each series matchups.

i agree. i think a judging rubric (yes, that's the teacher in me) should be set in place. Then we should have 5 or so judges that have different, unbiased (the best they can) opinions, and be subjective.

We tried that before. I went and got several active veteran posters to judge but you guys didn't agree with them and some of you folks even called them trolls. So that went that. But getting posters from other boards is really the only way to keep it unbiased and objective since different guys on this board (me included) may have different followings and/or clicks that they belong to that will cloud fairness.

I doubt I'll be the only judge. I'm just volunteering to be one. I have my opinion on hoe this competition will be judged and that's how ill do it. Other judges can follow suit if they want to.

For example... Head coaches will be more important in my style of judging. Win now teams won't be penalized as much as they were in the past and how well your team fits with one another matters a lot. If I think the personnel of the team makes no sense and they don't fit well, then you'll be penalized for it. I'll go into more detail later.

i remember you did that for like BAT 5 or 7.

and honestly, that's why i think a rubric should be made. i hate to sound dumb (or dumb this down), but that's what i do with my third graders. i make a rubric for a certain assignments, and then i show them exactly what to expect. if all judges are using the same rubric, they know what to judge on (so no system is different), and we can all have a better understanding as to why we did, or did not, score well.
