Otto Porter vs Anthony Bennett

This seem to be a heated debate over on the Washington boards.

What you all think about it from a neutral standpoint?

Who would have the most value?

porter by a fair margin.
he plays both ends of the floor. plays harder and smarter with a high energy level. is not undersized for his position. doesn't have an injury history. doesn't have asthma. has better intangibles.

bennett is the most overrated prospect in this draft imo. he lacks toughness, only playing physically on offense...sometimes. he doesn't even like posting up despite his strength advantage. thinks he's a sf despite having below average ball skills for a wing and having no ability to defend the position.
al harrington, derrick williams. that's who i see when i think of anthony bennett.

They don't play the same position.

Porter is the better prospect because he's a two way player. He's also a better fit for Washington.
I wouldn't assume he'll be available.

Where's the athleticism with Otto Porter? Not really impressed with him.

I agree with Bennett being overrated. Porter could go as high as number one now that Cleveland has the pick.

I feel bad for the team that takes Bennet in the top 5. I think he's a pretty bad prospect, high chance of him not being anymore than a 7th man.

Otto Porter seems like he could be a nice glue guy. He does everything at a pretty decent level and he has average size, he is the quintessential safe pick.

Wizards should go Alex Len and consider no one else. You guys really need a center for the future because Okafor, Nene and whoever you got either won't take you far or won't be there much longer. Alex Len is a legit center and is both a better prospect and safer pick than any center this year or mabey any center that is projected next year. He can give you solid production offensively and as a rim protector (I know he's injured but its nothing serious).

There will be plenty of PF's next year that could be as good or better then bennett and as much as I like porter (much better than bennett), your probabley gonna end up trading him down the road for salary purposes to fit in a good big (or 2) and a quality bench to go along with wall and beal (having 3 wings as your top core guys early on is not a good idea if you can avoid it).

This is my thinking as well but I seem to be in the minority on the Wiz board.

Call me crazy but I think down the road Len is going to be a heck of a player.

President Donald Trump referred to African countries, Haiti and El Salvador as "shithole" nations during a meeting Thursday and asked why the U.S. can't have more immigrants from Norway.

While I think Bennett has more potential, Otto seems like a safer pick and fills a position that has a bigger gap. For now, Okafor and Nene are good for now.

Wizards should trade the pick, hands down.

Porter its okay, but he isnt anything else than a good starter, he lacks strength and athleticism, even if he can match it with his length and intelligence.

Len would be a terrible choice, Len doesnt deserve to go top7 in this Draft, he's going to struggle in NBA.

Yea, big no when it comes to Len. As Maryland fan who has watched every game he has played in i wouldn't waste a lottery pick on him.

Agreed. And this is coming from the biggest UNLV fan on this board.

porter is the ideal pick for cleveland imo. i dunno if hes worth a number one pick. but if the cavs think they can get him at 3 and trade down and aquire assests they should do so.

Wall/Beal/Porter could be right there with Curry/Klay/Barnes if Wall plays with more consistency and can stay healthy.

hard to compare a 3 to a 4, but bennet has more potential and porter great role player potential and is safer

Why would the wizards give up any assets to move up to the number 1 pick? I doubt any teams will trade the farm for Noel and the magic are looking at a guard which doesn't conflict with the zards pick.

I like Bennett's upside more.

There's something about him that screams "go hard"

i guess i should phrase it better. otto porter is not a number one pick type of player. even in this draft. however the cavs are extremely week at sf. if the cavaliers organization believes they can even get something of value for the pick and still aquire porter they should do so.
