Re: The Otto Porter Jr Thread
in the end there isnt much to say anyway. the chances of us drafting him a near 0. he probably will go top 3 and even if he didn't we wouldn't take him. Cleveland taking him 1 would be great for us as it increases the chances of McLemore being there for us near 100% assuming no trades.

Re: The Otto Porter Jr Thread
Why Otto Porter shouldn't be a Bobcat.
By Lil' BroD
Otto Porter sounds like a nice guy. There are many reasons to like Otto. One of those reasons is his cool name. Did you know that Otto spelled backwards is Otto? Not only that, but Otto would make a great name for a pet schnauzer. Porter is also a cool name. Porter is a job of people that carry luggage, often on trains. Johnny Cash once sang a song called "Hey Porter." It's a fun song. Porter is also style of beer, named for its popularity with London's working class. Like the beer, Otto Porter is also intoxicating. His many skills quench your basketball thirst. But too much Porter can lead to nausea, vomiting, and roster imbalance. Therefor, Otto should not be a Bobcat because he is too polarizing. Most people like Porter occasionally but some people like Porter too much, which can lead to broken homes and fanbases.
The End

The youngest member of Team Slam's name is also a palindrome, so I can't help but have a soft spot for Otto.
If only his name was Otto Portrop.

Although this is funny as hell and had me belly laughing out loud, let's keep this Otto Porter thread on track please.

Re: The Otto Porter Jr Thread
Ill repeat what I said before in some long lost thread.
Im not so quick to dismiss Porter because he could be a very interesting fit at the other wing spot if he can display a solid shooting touch and secondary scoring mentality. I'm intrigued by the possibility of having a size advantage at a position for a change.
Ill have to wait until I see some workout footage before I can be totally sure one way or the other.

Re: The Otto Porter Jr Thread
I'll also repeat what I said in the other apparently very derailed thread:
I expect him to be gone by the time we pick, but I like the idea of having both and MKG on the wings. MKG's weaknesses are Porter's strengths, Porter's weaknesses are MKG's strengths. MKG/Porter would be a nice combo. Not MKG/Wiggins nice, but still pretty good.

I'm with you on this. I think Otto Porter could be Paul George-like and play the SG position but that depends on like you mentioned his display of a solid shooting touch and scorer's mentality during workouts and interviews.

I forgot that you started the thread over today because I remember the old scouting vid being there and I didn't know that you put the updated video that dropped today in it. I underestimated your advanced posting.
