I don't think I will ever like or respect Brett again, but he sure as hell belongs in Green Bay. The only thing that would cause me to wait would be Aaron, but since he is cool with it, I'm cool with it.

Nothing official here, just rumors I've heard.

Aaron was never the hold up. Ted and Brett are the reason this isn't going down.

Brett wants Ted to kiss the ring. Ted doesn't want to make nice because he thinks it isn't his job (this is true). On top of that, Ted was apparently hurt by Favre trying to get the "Ted is gay" rumor started. Favre was apparently pissed that Chris Mortenson wouldn't write something outing Ted, without evidence other than "because Brett Favre said so"

Aside from the gay angle, this echos what Leory and Ellerson have said on 1250. I believe it.

And I like Favre.

Yeah, TT's job is to worry about active players, not washed up, drunk, old perverts.

Just when I was trying to like Favre again you have to post that. I think what you posted is likely the truth or close to it. It must be killing Favre that Thompson's reputation is great and his fell off a cliff since the Packers traded him.

I'm not going to change my opinion based on this, because I want Favre back and I think sooner rather than later is better.

But IF this is true, then **** Brett Favre. What a piece of trash.

It'll be a good thing to have the best player in the history of the most storied franchise back as a member of the family.

Who would've ever guessed that Brett Favre would be Public Enemy #1 in Wisconsin? You tell me that in 2007, I say you've straight lost your mind.

All justified, of course. For the kids looking for heroes, it's a shame he was Wisconsin's Jebediah Springfield, only to be revealed as Hans Sprungfeld.

Favre was a great player who gave us a lot of memories, his career didn't end the way we wanted it to but people(Favre included) should be over it by now. Rodgers won a Superbowl, was MVP of that Superbowl, won a league MVP, and is heading for a HOF career. Obviously we made the right decision and I don't think Favre could even argue against that. It would be a real shame on all those involved if they can't reconcile petty personal squables before Favre enters the HOF.

Yeah, I'm cool with bringing him back. I was on the bandwagon that he was doing the whole retiring thing as leverage train so I was not on his side the whole way but at some point I can just forget about that stuff and remember the first 17 or so years of his career.

Um, this. This whole "TT is gay" thing is news to me, though. I don't know if I was living under a rock or what, but I never heard about this.

But yeah, if that's true he can go **** himself.

If Rodgers wins another Super Bowl and/or MVP I think he surpasses him no matter how many years he plays.

Agreed with this. The rumors about TT have been out there for a while. But if Favre is trying to out him or make up **** about him, he can go **** himself.

Return to Green Bay Packers
