I'm sure we can get a lot for him.

For now I only see big-time game changing players has the ability for us to consider "blowing it up". Or else I think we have a pretty fair team.

I doubt any team with one of those players would be interested in our roster much (given the salary attached to our more skilled players).

Draft Wiggins.

Hire a coach to maximize the Val and Wiggins tandem.

That would be awesome.

just trade one of DD or Gay for players that actually fill our needs. As much as i think this roster is flawed it would be to premature to dismantle them without really giving them a shot. Personally, I think Gay is better than DD will ever b so trade DD for a SG that can actually shoot and play D and a back up PG(preferably a young guy with starter potential, maybe DD for Ben Gordon, Session and a future pick)

Dump Bargs for any vet big (preferably a C).Bargs for Brendon Haywood and Josh McRoberts(S&T) would be nice if possible.

Im not a fan of Charlotte, its just a coincidence that their players fit our needs

1) First thing i would do is package Klow And DD to the team that drafts Dennis schroder, whatever exp contracts they have, And a 1st or 2nd rd pick in next years Draft. (Schroder is gonna be the best player out of this draft And the steal)
2) Second thing i would do is Amensity Bargs or trade him to the timberwolves for a 2nd round pick + an expiring contract.(Preferably a backup pg like ridnor
3) Third Thing to do Go After a good valued Free Agent that isnt overpaid like JJ reddick
4) Fire Casey & Allen Anderson and Get Del Negro (MAKE SURE HE KNOWS WE ARE TANKING THIS YEAR)
5) TANK FOR WIGGINS IN 2014 if we dont get top 3 pick in 2014 try and package gay wit the pick we get for a higher pick...Our team would then have young stars Cap Space with the exp Contracts we get in trades and lots of upside

2015 playoff run
PG Dennis Schroder (young Rondo)
Luke Ridnor
JL3
SGJJ Reddick
Terrence ross
SFAndrew Wiggins
Landry Fields
Linaz Kleiza
PFRudy Gay
Amir Johnson
Quincy Acy
CJonas Val (All Star)
Aaron Grey

let Wiggins Val And Scrhoder Grow together :) OFC this is just in a perfect world but it would be a good plan to strive for to push for a championship :P 8-)

Hearing people talk about getting Wiggins is depressing. We're not getting him and the only thing that would be worse is trying to set up to get him by trading away our talent and failing to win the lottery. Try and see that in hindsight and maybe re-think your plan of action.

Theres a reason you have to put smiley faces in your plan to get Wiggins and thats because you know its a joke

Kleiza, Lucas, Pietrus, Telfair and the God forsaken Bargnani. There's no reason to get rid of anybody else.

^^^ If We suck enough this year by trading Klow and DD to get even top 6 or 7th pick next draft there is still franchise changing talents as that draft class is stacked....so even if we didnt get AW we would still get a great player :p anything is possible if you tank the right way

In that case, why not just trade for lottery picks while still trying to remain competitive. If we were to trade DD for a lottery projected pick and take back a bad contract we wouldnt be going for broke and if we fail it wouldnt be so bad. Something like what happened to DET when they drafted Darko. Less likely to succeed but less likely to fail. All or nothing doesnt seem wise.

DD to CHA for their future pick and BG. Could work with SAC, sheeit id even take Hedo back for a future first from ORL....if all else fails I know PHX needs a SG

Gay is an inefficient chucker better off running offense through Val (or in a lucky case, Wiggins). Demar could be a keeper but his contract is horrible for someone of his quality. Gay can be used as a great asset in my opinion though to any team looking for a faux superstar  This team has been bad for so long that keeping the current core would lead to 8-7th seed and a first round exit at best.

Correct me if I'm wrong, but I take "blowing it up" as trading at least two of DD (14.81), Bargnani, Lowry, and/or Gay (15.66) (our four highest paid players)... with Amir being a likely casualty. The biggest problem I see with this is that all four are probably worth the least they've been worth in a while. Looking at Ujiri's two big trades, we could likely expect to trade Rudy for two decent yet less talented (but younger) players or DD with Bargs, Lowry, or Amir for one more established player. Of course, truly "blowing it up" suggests trading for a collection of picks as well. We already traded our pick for Lowry, and most are happy that we have Lowry over a pick in the 8-16 range.

What exactly should we be targeting if considering blowing things up? What kind of pick or player would be a good start?

A. Young PG's who MIGHT be available (ranked by per for last season):

1. Kemba Walker
2. Tyreke Evans (With DD as main piece)
3. Rondo - might like Lowry and Gay combo to stay competitive
4. Eric Bledsoe - LAC probably can't afford to keep him.
5. Jeff Teague / Jrue Holiday
6. Jennings
7. Rubio?? No clue how available he is
8. Someone I forgot?

B. Young Swings who MIGHT be available:

1. Gordon Hayward (16.81)
2. Danilo (16.73)
3. Tobias Harris (16.05)
4. Louis Williams (15.98)
5. Eric Gordon (15.43)
Someone else??
6. Reddick/Ilyasova combo if we can convince Reddick to want to sign here

C. Young bigs who MIGHT be available?

Andre Drummond (21.69)
Milsap (19.89)
Donatas (12.28) - might take Bargs IF they strike out on Dwight.

D. Potential lottery picks in 2013 or 2014

4th pick from Bobcats? 2014 pick from the Cavs or Bobcats? They could desperately use some offensive players.
6th pick from the Hornets?

Any of these

Mr. Faux superstar had a higher PER than Paul George, the golden boy taking on the Heat in the ECF. Meanwhile, Gay gets assisted on less than 40% on his FGs which is basically Lebron territory and had a PER over 18 with TOR which is top 5 at his position.

Gay isnt a bad player to have on the team just as long as he isnt first option. Im pretty sure CLE would love to have a guy like that to round out the roster but do you really want to give them their final piece. Aside from blowing it up, what other options do we really have on improving this team. Gays contract is so big that by trading him wed definitely have to take back some garbage in the process, maybe wed be better off keeping him. DD on the other hand is less of a finished product so he might be able to fetch a little more, also how our team is structured we can afford to lose him more so than Gay. After aquiring Gay, DD has become a bad fit like it or not. If we can trade both DD and Bargs without takiing on to much money in return and aquiring a pick or two in the process thats deinitely a win win in my books. What they bring to the table can be replaced with what we already have on the roster.

What we need to do is STOP aquiring so many scorers. Why do you think guys like Amir seem so important, hes one of the few that does what other on the team dont

Paul George's playoff per is pretty similar to Gays actually. I really don't think Gay is good though and it passed stats. He commands the ball to much to be effective and when he isn't getting his shots he seems to not really do anything else well. Gay's Per is not over 18 though it could be rounded to 18 but not over. LeBron, KD, Melo, Pierce, Thaddeus Young, and even Shawn Marion have higher PERS for the SF spot. I don't think he is worth the contract. All Gay does is turn this team from bad to perennial 7-8 seed max. Who wants to be a treadmill team?
