Since Billups, we have tried Iverson, Stuckey, Gordon and Knight- each one has failed. We don't need any combo guards. We need a PG and a SG, not a guy who doesn't excel at either spot. By now, Joe D has to realize this.

No to McCollum. Please, God, No.

Way early to tell on Knight obviously.

Gordon is a 2, Stuckey should have never been used as anything but a 2.

Iverson excelled for a decade plus as a combo guard, he just couldnt fit with our core at the time.

Remember back in 2009, drafting at #7, a 6-3 SG in college that would need to be a PG in the NBA. Chad Ford's take...
Analysis: I think it's too early to know what grade to give Golden State. I love Curry, and if the Warriors keep him, I think he's a great addition to Monta Ellis in the backcourt. Neither guy is a pure point guard, but Curry's shooting should complement Ellis' slashing nicely.

A little more Curry analysis:

Negatives
A tweener
Lacks size at his natural position
Needs to add strength, slight frame
Just a decent athlete
Not particularly quick or explosive

Guys like Curry are exceptions not the rule. Not to mention that Curry had a 6 assist to 3 TO ratio at Davidson, unlike McCollum who is looking at 3 assist to 3 TOs, no comparison

1) Thanks

2) The number 1 indicator of a players star potential is having either great size or athleticism for his positionl. Aside from Paul, there is not a single superstar player that is undersized or unathletic for his position. Micheal Carter Williams is both huge and athletic for the 1 spot and is a pure PG. Mccollum on the other hand is undersized and relatively unathletic while being a below average playmaker. It really isnt crazy to suggest that MCW > McCollum. McCollum is being overrated because of Lillard's success and the fact that he was injured. Had he played this season, he wouldve been exposed for being what he is, which is a guy whose not good enough to be a PG or big enough to be a SG. The same goes for Bennett and his inability to play a SF's game and his lack of size to be a PF.

If mcw had a good shot I would be all over drafting him it seems he have everything but a jump shoot but chad ford was at his workout today and said his jump shot was looking really good

I'm a bigger fan of MCW than McCollum
